Experiential art. When I first went to this rebuilt bowling alley, I walked into a facade of a house interior. I walked through to living room and dining room and into the kitchen and thought it odd that someone was walking out of the refrigerator.

This is a growing scene in Santa Fe for many activities. Every week-end morning there is the Farmer's Market. The Velvet Crown Movie/restaurant/bar Theater. There are performance theaters and small trade show venues in this area.
The 100 yr. old original train station is still in operation with daily Rail Runner train arrivals and departures to and from Albuquerque. My grandfather, a steam locomotive engineer, once piloted steam engines into this station in the 1920's.
Now there are restaurants, galleries, performance centers, movie theaters, and frequent music entertainment here . Healing practitioner's offices are also in this area.

Great for walking, looking, and discovering paintings, sculpture, and great restaurants. On Christmas Eve more than 10,000 people come to hang out by bonfires, drink warm drinks and sing Christmas songs around the fires.

Architecture
One of the most beautiful spaces to tour, sit quietly, and participate in a Sunday Service. So much history of Santa Fe revolved around here and the Plaza Central area. The ambience is spectacular.

This Historic Architecture is a don't miss. The story of the spiral staircase is the recounted tale of a real miracle created by the power of prayer. Everything is beautiful here. Often there are performances of beautiful music in this historic place.

Museums
The Art Scene in Santa Fe area began to grow and flourish in the early 1900's. Many artists began to come here because of the healing climate. Later Georgia O'Keefe came here and set up a studio in Abiquiu, NM. The downtown Santa Fe museum houses many of her paintings and sketches. Her studio and home in Abiquiu is also very interesting and requires a reservation to visit. The Abiquiu area is spectacularly scenic as well. Just past Abiquiu is Ghost Ranch and in this area the pink granite cliffs are so beautiful.
