This unique bridge includes the infamous sundial that marks the time of day with its shadow. On the other end is an herbal and floral garden that begins a great hiking trail for all ages!

If you don't mind a long hike and are okay with no a.c. to cool down till you have returned to town or the lake, then this is a great adventure - the Caverns are beautiful. There are over 800 steps to climb, so it's not for those of you who don't want the work and exercise. They might tell you there's a place to cool down and yes there's a little house with benches, but there is NO A.C. Take plenty of liquids, sometimes the vending machines are near empty. (That's our only complaint). The bus ride up the mountain is a bit scary, but a great adventure, and scenery exceptional!

Shasta Caverns

It's a small restaurant, ambience is warm and a little crowded but if you like grilled food - especially steak - don't miss this gem! (If you're a group, better call ahead for reservations so they can set a larger table)!
