The second most popular tourist destination in Oregon and only about 35 miles from our front door. Be sure to hike all the way up to the top of the falls. Go early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid all the mid-day crowds, especially in the summer.

If you've seen the movie "The Shining," you know what the exterior of this famous landmark located on the top of Mt. Hood looks like. The filmmakers used it for all of the exterior shots. This is the #1 tourist attraction in Oregon and totally worth the 65 mile, 90 minute drive to see. If you ski or snowboard, go in the winter and make a day of it.

We have an incredible zoo and it's located in the same area as the famous Rose Gardens and the Japanese Gardens. Definitely worth a day of your time to see all three!
