The chef makes a unique, homemade soup or two each day. I love the Avogobble sandwich, and any pizza is a hit. They're friendly to all dietary needs, as well! The servers have awesome personalities. By visiting this iconic local restaurant, you'll also see the extensive kite collection of the late owner, Richard Dermer. Cost is average - maybe $10 per person, more if you order extras.

MY FAVORITE COFFEE SHOP OF ALL TIME! Hidden inside of Hideaway, few people know of this place, despite it being around for over 20 years! Run and owned by one woman, the amazing Ginger, this place becomes an immediate favorite of anyone who visits. Being Stillwater's FIRST local brewery, you must go! Try the Stilly Wheat or the Monk Stout. The owner used to be my landlord, back in college. Guess we scared him out of renting and into beer making! :)

Easily the highest quality restaurant in Stillwater. Shobu Shobu, AKA Hot Pot dinner! Owner and run by a Japanse guy named Dean, who will come around and show you how to do it the right way, or at least make you laugh. A bit higher on the budget, but nothing too scary. DELICIOUS! Total hole-in-the-wall treasure. Must make reservation! Only open 6 PM to close.

This is the coolest atmosphere I've seen created in Stillwater lately! Imagine a barber shop, a coffee shop, a bar, and a men's boutique got together and threw a party. You'd get this. The stuff is high quality, very well styled, but a bit pricey. At least worth a visit. I've heard the barber charges average price for a fade.

If you need coffee later than 5 PM, go here. If not, go to The Daily Grind. :) Locally owned, cool atmosphere, but a bit less friendly. Baristas are hit and miss. I worked here and enjoyed my time but you never know what you're gonna get. Occasionally too hipster for me as well.

Do you like hole-in-the-wall pubs where everyone is welcome, you make friends right away, there's plenty of seating for optimal conversation, and the drinks don't cost too much? Then THIS is the place for you! Great outdoor beer garden, often has great live music, and tons of character inside. You can't fake a place like this.
Do you like huge selections of drinks, fancy cocktails, and hate smoke? Choose something else. No worries.

Finnegan's Pub
This, I would say, is friendly to anyone who'd like a drink!
Smoke-free, but with smokers' seating outside; larger selection of beers (as far as Oklahoma can offer, anyway!), great community, good service, nice Irish theme going inside, DOG friendly, whoo hoo! and known for attracting the local cycling community.
If you go on a Thursday night, you might catch my funk band, Funk N Beers! :) This is a very crowded college bar (as per the name), so only for the wild at heart!
