Open early (7 am ) for breakfast. A great place to grab something before visiting the Volcano National Park . I often go there for their large freshly made sandwiches... delicious ! ( they won awards too).

Public transportation is still a bit sketchy on the island. It is best to rent a car. We now have Uber, though in its infancy here, it can be quite useful.
