With its fossil laden cliff featuring formations that date back around five million years, Galé-Fontaínhas Beach provides a stunning landscape with a different kind of beauty to the other beaches in the north of Grândola council, generally flatter and with dunes.
Access to the beach is down ramps located near the campsite.

Stunning views and a beautiful cliff top walk make this an amazing place to visit. The walk can be uneven in places and you will need to be reasonably fit to take it on. The beach itself is lovely and Sandy. This is a great area of coastline and extremely scenic with lots of rocks, arches and caves. Highly recommended.

Stunning views and a beautiful cliff top walk make this an amazing place to visit. The walk can be uneven in places and you will need to be reasonably fit to take it on. The beach itself is lovely and Sandy. This is a great area of coastline and extremely scenic with lots of rocks, arches and caves. Highly recommended.
Beautifully enclosed by cliffs this beach is a dream. Also some ways lead you up on those cliffs and present some amazing views.
In the end we had perfect timing and catched some bottled beers at the local shop, climbed up a cliff and enjoyed the sunset.

Lovely beach for the family, just enough waves to keep it fun for the kids without having to worry too much one of them will be swept out to sea. Sea is clear and fish swimming amongst the rocks.
Restaurant is nice enough and ice creams and cold drinks available.
Sunbeds and shade not terrible value for the full day (€15) and definitely want to get a chocolate donught from the sellers walking around.

Lovely beach for the family, just enough waves to keep it fun for the kids without having to worry too much one of them will be swept out to sea. Sea is clear and fish swimming amongst the rocks.
Restaurant is nice enough and ice creams and cold drinks available.
Sunbeds and shade not terrible value for the full day (€15) and definitely want to get a chocolate donught from the sellers walking around.
Wonderful sandy beach ideal for all the family, a few restaurants and cafes. Toilets and shops near by. Easy access to the road where you can catch the tourist train or bus via the escalator or walk along to the lift.

Public accessible beach, clean, lifeguards are available and a restaurant. Water activities can be hired here (water jet, parasailing etc.)

Smaller more intimate beach than the others.
Not too crowded when we attended out of season. Nice bar and restaurant on site. Sun loungers €14 to hire.

Dit restaurant ligt niet in het centrum van Albufeira dus het is niet echt toeristisch. Wij gingen daar vanmiddag lunchen en er waren alleen Portugezen. Het restaurant heeft een mooie uitstraling. De bediening is ontzettend aardig. Wij hebben daar heerlijk gegeten 3 gangen menu. Een echte aanrader

Vroeger was Armação de Pêra een klein vissersdorp maar tegenwoordig is het één van de meest bezochte plaatsen van de Algarve. Het beschikt over een grote variatie en aanbod op het gebied van entertainment en ontspanning. In het oude deel van de stad zijn nog de lage, oude huisjes te zien. Het zandstrand ligt daar tegenover, is uitgestrekt en wordt veel bezocht door badgasten.
Het oostelijk deel van het zandstrand ligt in het stedelijke, bewoonde deel van Armação de Pêra en wordt Praia dos Pescadores genoemd. Het "Vissersstrand", Praia dos Pescadores, wordt zo genoemd vanwege de visafslag en -vangst.
