I love taking people here when they visit me in BCN because they serve local Catalan food prepared well for a decent price. It is also in the ueber cool born area and most of the waiters speak english

A great place to get shawarma and hummus to take a way and have a relaxing dinner in the apartment. The hummus is really good!

We have not tried the restaurant Machito but right next to it is a take away shop called teicaway. There you can get fresh burritos and smoothies.

Cafe Adonis is a nice cafe where you can stop to have coffee if you decide to walk to the city center from the apartment in the morning.

The food is great and the ambiance is nice. A long lunch is wonderful there and you can take a look at the market while there. Also, if you have small children they do have high chairs there.

A great and inexpensive restuarant with local cuisine. They don´t accept reservations so it is a good idea to show up at 8:30 for dinner.

A great wine shop that specializes in Catalonian and Spanish wines. What we really love about these guys is that they have really great service. Try Messi's or Iniesta's wines. :)

Laie is a nice relaxing bookstore with a large cafe on the second floor. A great place to go if you happen to be here on a rainy day (or if you need to escape the heat).

A large avenue with lots of small parks. If you are in the mood for a long walk it is nice to walk down this street all the way to the parc of the ciutadella.
