We highly recommend a visit to historic Vannes while staying at the cottage. Market days are Saturday and Wednesday. Plenty of interesting small shops and a great choice of restaurants.

Lizio is 5 miles from our cottage, an easy cycle ride. There is an Ecomuseum, Insectarium, good creperie and some nice waymarked walks from the village.

The little village of Rochefort-en-Terre is utterly enchanting. Great for a day trip there are plenty of interesting artist shops and a good choice of places to eat.

A pretty seaside town There is an excellent range of restaurants and the old quarter is packed with charming flower-decked houses, and has become an artists quarter attracting crafts people.

Pretty small village on the banks of a River. Renown for it's summer flower displays, art and craft shops, photo exhibitions and the Yves Rocher factory/shop. Boat hire. Well worth a visit.

The Pointe de Kerbihan has six lovely beaches and a nice coastal footpath around the peninsula. The Plage de Kerbihan is usually quiet as it is a little more difficult to find, but only a short walk.

Velo-Rail site at Medreac 45 miles/1h00 from the cottage. You hire a cycle that is fixed to the old railway rails for a scenic and healthy ride. The route takes about 1.5hr to cycle and is good fun.
