Good Mexican, frequently they have a musician playing on the patio several nights a week. They have incredible Margaritas.

Buddhist Temple. Every Sunday from 9:30 to 2:00ish the women members of the church cook authentic Thai food in big vats strewn throughout this scenic property for a small $5-10 donation. Amazing, Amazing food, get in the soup line and get Beef, not Pork, Or go for one of their Curries. Inexpensive, delicious, beautiful location. Talk with a monk. This is one of the best kept secrets in Tampa Bay. Go early or they run out of food.

If you are staying at my place on a Thursday evening over the summer months. DIYC, a private sailing club, opens to the public on Thursday nights for roughly 6 months of the year. Show up to the club from 5-5:30 PM and tell the bartender you'd like to get on a boat.
Roughly 60-80 boats race every Thursday night and a random boat owner will take you out as a guest for free. This is legit and super fun with amazing down to earth people. You do not need to know anything about sailing to participate. Just show up with your favorite beer and a few extra to share and you'll have an amazing time. Dress very casual.
