Food Scene

We didn't know we wanted Cajun food...until we got there and fell in love with Tupelo. The first time we went, we sat at the bar and enjoyed the wonderful bartender's conversation, chatting with our fellow bar/diners, and delicious cocktails, wine and food. We go back every time we're in town and want to treat our guests to a wonderful meal - Montana style (that equals great food, big wine pours, and casual vibe). Go Here! You'll love it.

Great food at the base of the mountain, on your way into town. Literally 5 minutes from our place. We love the Last Chair as a bar or restaurant for a group. Healthy options, and truly unhealthy options. Great beers on tap.

AMAZING italian food. Expect to wait...maybe an hour or more? Put your name in (they don't take reservations unless your party is 8+), and walk to the Latitude 48 ... go downstairs for a cocktail and come back for the best easy italian ever. Their garlic bread is literally fresh baked when you sit down, and slathered with crushed garlic and olive oil...painted on the bread with a paint brush - then pizza oven baked. amazing. Everything here is amazing. I dare you to try to save room for dessert.

Don't be flapped if you find a line. We've never waited more than 30 minutes...enough time to hit a few main street shops while you wait. We love the Buffalo Cafe for Breakfast, though it's also excellent for lunch and dinner. They make a buffalo pie - literally a pile of their amazing super crispy hash browns piled with eggs and fixin's. Amazing. Their corned beef hash is to die for and my husband always orders one of their special scrambles. Their amazing burgers feature the good ole' basics, as well as unique and incredible combinations of toppings. For dinner, their elk meatloaf is awesome! Mimosa's and amazing coffee are the ticket here. Enjoy!

One of our absolute favorite, must-go restaurants in Whitefish. This restaurant is at the golf course, but don't let that scare you. The building itself is an old log building with a massive fireplace. Inside it's cozy and warm. The bar is excellent, with outstanding cocktails and an expansive wine list. The food is always top notch - in fact, if you want a steak, this is the place to go. They know how to cook to perfection (I prefer Medium Rare Plus...and they know how to do this, every time!). The service is also the best in town. Always friendly, prompt and attentive. The people who work here have continued to work here for all the years we've come to this favorite restaurant, which tells you that they are treated well. Reservations are a must. You can come as you are, though many people come here for special occasions. Don't let that scare you - I've seen people here in their ski clothes, after a day on the lake, or dressed up for a party!

Down the stairs of the Latitude 48 Bistro is the most deluxe little cozy bar. Leather furniture and cool bar seating. Happy hour is amazing, with craft cocktails always new for the season. food is great. this is my favorite place to go for "dinner" on the way to the airport when we fly out late.

Iconic apres ski bar...AND...you can stop here for a beer or two or...and ski home...or you can walk to/from our place to the Bierstube...(if you MUST have a hot tub before you consider venturing out). Dress attire...not a chance...come as you are, and enjoy. We love this place. (manhattan's are killer!)
