Unless it is a cool day, when visiting Lahaina, we suggest going late in the afternoon to walk around, have dinner, and then walk around some more after dinner when it is cooler. During mid day it can get rather hot.

Paia - a surfer town with shops and restaurants.
Tropical side of Maui. Hairpin turn roads. Go very early. Sunday is the best day to travel there to avoid traffic. We recommend spending the night there.

Kapalua Coastal Trail - Short beautiful walk along Oneloa Beach to Kapalua Beach. Take Highway 30 North. Left on Office Rd. Left on Lower Honoapiilani Rd. Take the first right turn and you will see about 10 parking spaces on the left. Park and walk down the stairs to the beach.
