Somewhat of a sports bar/restaurant serving hearty dishes. They offer all-you-can-eat mussels on certain days. I ordered their normal serving of "moule frites" and couldn't finish it. They service non-stop from morning to evening. We often come here when we arrive late into Nice.

The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art often features an exhibit along with their permanent collection featuring Nice native Yves Klein. Niki de Saint Phalle also has a permanent collection. Do not miss the rooftop of the MAMAC for spectacular views of the city!

The Matisse museum is probably best for art historians. They do offer special exhibits, but not really the best of Matisse's work necessarily. The museum is in a great location next to an olive orchard, Roman ruins (museum of archeology). It is also close to the monastery where Matisse is buried.

Since Chagall helped create this museum, it makes it that much better. Featuring colorful spiritual paintings inspired by biblical stories, the museum is one of the best Nice offers. They have a theater that offers a film on Chagall's history. They also have musical performances there from time to time.

L'Etoile is a big mall. You should be able to find everything you need here. It is on the big shopping boulevard Jean Médecin, so this is your modern day shopping street.

This is a small corner grocery store just a half a block away from the apartment. Besides getting your rotisserie chicken, they offer a little of everything. We get our staples here: coffee, baguettes (not bad!), clothing detergent, soap, etc.

The Opéra de Nice is like going to an old-world Italian opera house. We've attended dances and concerts here. The opera does sell out quick, but check their calendar and enjoy a show.

This is the primary train station that is close to the apartment. It will get you to Nice and take you to most places on the French Riviera.

I find this to be a little dangerous, but if it's something you're interested in doing, I'm sure it would be fun. These a small cars you can rent and drive around the city.

The Nice Tramway runs along old-town and will take you up to both the northeast and northwest areas of Nice. Soon the tramway will be opening up from the Port and will travel all the way to the airport (2019). The airport stop will be a few blocks from our apartment, so we're very excited about that.
