With fresh baked goodies, an outstanding breve latte, and friendly people, Openroad is my favorite spot for coffee and writing. Open at 6:30 am, it's a great place to go if you like to get out and about early.

I've only ever been to Southern Manners for breakfast because breakfast food is my favorite, but if their lunch offerings look great, too. The cinnamon roll pancakes are outstanding! On Fridays, they offer fresh donuts. And they have a little gift shop area where you can buy candy, trinkets, popcorn, and more to remember your trip by.

2915 Hwy 14 EI've only ever been to Southern Manners for breakfast because breakfast food is my favorite, but if their lunch offerings look great, too. The cinnamon roll pancakes are outstanding! On Fridays, they offer fresh donuts. And they have a little gift shop area where you can buy candy, trinkets, popcorn, and more to remember your trip by.
If you mention Landrum to anyone who has ever been here, they will say something along the lines of, "Oh yeah...they have that great little restaurant there, right? Something and Hound..." This is the place they are talking about. It's so popular, you will definitely want to make reservations if you're planning on dinner or a weekend lunch there. Complimentary popcorn is brought to the table for pre-meal munching. I'm a big fan of the fish and chips, and I hear the Key Lime Pie is something to write home about.

McGourty's Pub is a private club offering 3-day memberships for $5 (or yearly memberships for $20). At McGourty's you'll find fantastic food, live music, comedy shows, dancing and more. While some may balk at paying a membership fee, being private allows McGourty's to cater to their customers in ways the public pubs and bars aren't able. And it's one of the only places open past 9:30 or 10:00 around here. :)

BettyAnne is one of the kindest people you may have the pleasure of meeting in the area, and all the massage therapists do excellent work. Appointments are available Monday-Saturday from 10:00 am-7:00 pm when booking online or by phone, or by phone requests only on Sundays. The website is tryontherapeuticmassage.com.

Want to try something a bit out of the ordinary? Speed Factory Indoor Karting is quite an experience for anyone who thinks of small child-friendly tracks when they think go-karting. Neck braces, head socks, and helmets are a must (and supplied for no additional cost) and outside of Jr Driver's Hours, only those with a valid drivers license are permitted to race on the track. The Tryon Film Society brings foreign and indie movies to the theatre on the 2nd and 4th Mondays and Tuesdays of the month.
