Traditional Staple this sit down restaurant has a cozy downstairs diner bar atmosphere or an airy upstairs seating space with views of the street where you can watch the world go by. Recently renovated to make more space, you know it's a good pick. Portion sizes are fair, and the garden benadict is one of our favorites. For bakery picks there are doughnuts, muffins and bagels. $ - BAKERY – HOT DRINKS

Limited hours that are maintained by volunteers makes this a difficult place to see. Well worth it and good for poke around, this is the only Museum that Orleans currently boasts. It details the historic ties between Orleans and France, for more you'll just have to visit and find out... - FREE -

One of the best vistas in Orleans to see the tide run out, this bay side beach runs for miles at low tide with only inches of water. In the winter this makes for striking vistas of glacial ice resting on vast stretches of bare sand. Oyster grants are allowed access directly from the beach, and at low tide it is easy to walk out and see what local farmers are working on. An interesting thing to watch, be mindful of being a distraction as farmers only have as long as the tide to get their work done. - SUNSET -

The in town Chinese food restaurant, they don't deliver but do offer a call in, pick up service. Should you decide to eat in, their dining area looks out onto the water. Our favorites are the egg rolls and modestly priced wonton soup. $ - CHINESE - A hole in the wall style bar discretely sunk into the large and accommedating Chinese food restaurant it is the only thing in Orleans that stays open until 2am. Expect to see a rush at midnight, as the Lost Dog Pub is only just across the street. Not to worry overflow is seated in the restaurant. $$
