Trattoria Restaurant and Bar
Great place for your (iced) coffee, because the coffee tastes amazing but even more because of the amazing view! Also, it is attached to a good bookstore, a bit pricey but they have a very elaborate section on history/culture/human interest.

Not the best place to buy your groceries, but their bakery - called Brood (Dutch for 'bread') - is really good and can definitely recommend their croissants!

They have a great lunch buffet, value for money and a nice way of getting to know the Rwandan kitchen! And we love the garden.

Great place, again because of great view on the city: it is situated on a rooftop. But also a perfect place to work, ample space, power outlets and reliable WiFi.

This lovely place sells pastry and bread that come out of their women's bakery and serve Question Coffee. A social enterprise that's worth visiting! Also, their café is worth visiting for some interior design ideas!

Lake Ruhondo
Beautiful views, friendly local people, a real touch of rural Rwanda!
Simply beautiful! If you enter from the east side it is just a 45 minute drive from Kigali. We know a lovely place on the lake to enjoy a fresh grilled tilapia fillet.
