HOST RECOMMENDED: TELL THE OWNER YOU ARE A GUEST OF MINE. Excellent coffee, baked goods, sandwiches and homemade soups during the week. Don't miss the bacon grilled cheese or chicken noodle soup! The interior is painted like the Italian countryside and unique wine-related gifts are available for purchase. EXCELLENT wine selection by the bottle or glass from around the world. Offers picnic baskets for the beach, if you call ahead. Dinner on Friday and Saturday only, closed on Sundays.

Beautiful beaches in a state park setting (daily entrance fee). Easy bike ride or drive. Also can catch the ferry over to Caladesi Island. Good facilities to shower, change, or grab a snack or drink. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available to rent for around $20 a day, ending at sunset. There are some rocks just offshore which can be hard to navigate when the tide is low, so I suggest beach shoes. The water is also pretty shallow. Great place for bird watching and walking trails.
