An easy drive to Mt. Philo - maybe 20 minutes from our home - and an easy climb up an excellent trail. You will be rewarded with some of the best views of Lake Champlain, the Adirondacks, and a good bit of the Green Mountain range too.
A challenging and rewarding climb. Requires a little bit of scrambling but most kids and adults will be fine. The summit is awesome with 360 degree views. This mountain is located about 20 minutes from our home.

Camels Hump is an iconic mountain in VT and it always has been. It has an unmistakable profile. It is also a demanding and highly rewarding climb to the summit, providing breathtaking 360 degree views of VT, NY, and NH.

The highest and in my opinion the best mountain to climb in VT. It takes more than an hour to get to the trailhead from our home, but it is well worth it. Take the Sunset Ridge Trail to the summit. It is the most scenic and breathtaking climb in all of VT.

A great place to visit. The campus is a huge park-like setting with beautiful architecture, specimen trees, mountain views, and much more. The College also hosts many lectures, movies, concerts, art shows, and other events.
