The highest and in my opinion the best mountain to climb in VT. It takes more than an hour to get to the trailhead from our home, but it is well worth it. Take the Sunset Ridge Trail to the summit. It is the most scenic and breathtaking climb in all of VT.

The quintessential Middlebury parent's weekend climb. More demanding and longer than Mt. Philo (which has an even better view). Great views of Lake Champlain and Adirondack range. Both of these (Snake and Philo) are easy to summit and well worth the effort!
