On-Site Dining at Smugglers' Notch Resort
**PLEASE NOTE: On-Site dining is closed until June 11, as it is shoulder season** Smugglers' Notch has great on-site shopping and dining options, so you don't need to venture far for the essentials or a great meal. These places are a 3 minute drive from the condo, or take the free shuttle! You can also walk to any of these eateries in the summer or fall.
Casual family setting, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails. They have an expansive menu – try the maple-glazed ribs! Take out available. Reservations are accepted, but not required.

Dining in Jeffersonville
Jeffersonville is a small town with quite a few restaurants. Many are located 5-15 minutes from the condo.
Located 10-15 mins away in Jeffersonville at the historic Smugglers’ Notch Inn. General pub fare. They serve wide variety of choices to meet everyone's taste! Great appetizers, homemade soups, salads. Don’t miss the nightly specials board – terrific drinks – ask what the drink special is. Call Geoff, the owner, to make a reservation at 802-644-6371. another MUST! Located 5 minutes from the condo, and open for breakfast and lunch. They also supply bread for many of the local restaurants. Their baked goods are some of the best I’ve had; they are probably some of the best in the state – I love the muffins, scones and biscuits. The only downside is there is no indoor seating, so you will need to take the food back to the condo or eat in the car if you are headed out and about.

Dining in Stowe
Stowe is a famous ski town. During the Summer and Fall months, it is only a 15-20 minute drive away through the famous Smugglers' Notch pass. However, during the winter the pass is closed, and you must "go around" as the locals say, making it a 45 minute-1 hour drive. Stowe is home to some of Vermont's restaurants - my favorites are below.
My favorite – a MUST! A slice of Italy in Stowe – it rivals Italian food in any of the major cities. It is the type of place, where the owner is walking around making sure everything is to your liking. You will feel like family. They import the bread in fresh multiple times a week from a bakery in NYC. Everything is good – my favorites are the Carbonara and Chicken Parm. Save room for dessert, you will not regret it! | Make a reservation.

Located on the grounds of Trapp Family Lodge, is the von Trapp Brewing Bierhall Restaurant. The famous von Trapps settled in Stowe after the immigrated to the U.S. from Austria, and the hotel & restaurant is owned by their descendents. The "notch" as locals call it, separates Mount Mansfield, the highest peak of the Green Mountains, from Spruce Peak and the Sterling Range. When there is not snow on the ground, you can drive on Route 108 through Smugglers' Notch, which is one of the most beautiful (and thrilling!) drives in the state. There are multiple places to pull over, take photos and explore the many trails.

This beautiful resort is owned and managed by descendants of the Von Trapp family from "The Sound of Music" In the early 1940s, the von Trapp family toured the United States as the Trapp Family Singers before eventually settling in Stowe, Vermont on an enchanted farm with sweeping mountain vistas reminiscent of their beloved Austria. In the summer of 1950, they began welcoming guests to a rustic, 27-room family home/lodge. After a devastating fire in 1980, the original structure was replaced by the new Trapp Family Lodge, a striking, 96-room alpine lodge situated on 2,500 acres offering magnificent indoor and outdoor resort amenities. The entire property is owned and operated by the von Trapp family. You can learn all about the von Trapp family history taking a tour of the property. They have a great on-site brewery too!
