Neighbourhoods
An affluent Cardiff suburb has been named one of the 30 most fashionable places to live in the UK. The Sunday Times newspaper has rated Pontcanna as one of the hippest neighbourhoods in the country because it is the “most well-heeled bit of Cardiff.” It describes the area as “all tree-lined avenues and delis, and populated by ‘crachach’,” explaining that it is a nickname for the Welsh elite. The paper describes establishments that make the place special including: “Fish at 85 is a fishmonger and restaurant in one, specialising in British-caught produce, there’s gastropub The Conway and locals report watching Charlotte Church sing a cappella in The Robin Hood pub.”

Food scene
Betina moved from Denmark in 1998 and works as a photographer but she always harboured the dream of following up in her grandfather’s footsteps and setting up a bakery. A former Pontcanna resident, Betina said she has always imagined her bakery being in an old corner building so when Philip Morgan and Sons wine merchants closed down, she took the chance. This is without a doubt our biggest suggestion to start your day! We absolutely love it.

Cardiff Bay is the area of water created by the Cardiff Barrage in south Cardiff, the capital of Wales. According to Cardiff Council, the creation of Cardiff Bay is now widely regarded as one of the most successful regeneration projects in the United Kingdom. Cardiff Bay is supplied by two rivers (Taff and Ely) to form a 500-acre (2.0 km2) freshwater lake around the former dockland area south of the city centre. The 'bay' was formerly tidal, with access to the sea limited to a couple of hours each side of high water but now provides 24-hour access through three locks This is a fantastic place to go for dinner and a walk at any time of the day. It offers some fantastic el fresco dinning views at some of the restaurants, and there is plenty of offer to choose from.
