Burgers, fries, shakes, creamies & more. Honeypie is a renovated old gas station and it's got a really cool vibe.
This place is less than a mile from the house and it’s a great food spot. We especially love the tacos, pulled pork, and wings.

The H.N. Williams Store has been family-owned and operated since 1840. Offering loads of Vermont goodies including clothes, toys and games, specialty items, and even grocery goods, the store harkens back to the general store of the past. The store also includes a full-service deli called Rumney's and they just opened a coffee shop.

This is my favorite Vermont shopping spot- It is truly a must see. It's the coolest store with lots of interesting items chock full of Vermont charm. This little tiny town Weston also has a few other walkable stores. There's even a short little trail up behind the country store if you want to get some quick exercise. The store is super dog friendly as well- so it's a great place to see on your way in or out of town with a pup.

I adore this bookstore- I could stay in it for hours. It's magical place for any age. The kids section is truly dreamy and kids will be content staying there for a long while. "We are a large (10,000 square feet) general bookstore with a large floor devoted to Children. We have tried to create a store that fosters browsing and discovery. We can, of course, get any book in print, but we believe in the joy of serendipity and have laid out the store to enhance this experience. Beyond the best in books, we offer a full line of stationery, magazines, cards, calendars, local and VT foods and many fine gifts from clothing to jewelry. In addition, the popular Spiral Press Cafe is attached to the store so there is no need to leave the building for coffee or baked goods or lunch."

Nature spots
Prepare yourself for a beautiful little hidden gem waterfall and swimming hole only 15 mins from our home. The parking area is not very obvious, a wide shoulder opposite a white house. There is a sign just a few feet into the woods indicating the location. About a ten minute trail downhill hike is this awesome spot. Whether you want to slide down the waterfall, jump into the swimming hole, or wade and explore down the river, this is a glorious place to spend time. Pack a lunch and spend the afternoon, it's often not very crowded at all.

Cobb Brook cascades 125 feet down a mountain slope, through a pine-hemlock woodland and into a series of large potholes. There are several falls, the most spectacular of which drops 40 to 50 feet into a large pool. Hamilton Falls is unique, dramatic, and dangerous. This is truly a gorgeous place to explore! You can park near the top of the falls (30 min drive from the house) and explore the area or you can park at Ball Mountain Lake area and hike 6 miles (moderate hike) to get there.

Expect to be surprised at the beauty of this hidden gem! This pond is filled with the water that is pumped through the guns to make the Stratton snow we know & love. When you arrive, there are no marked parking spaces, so you can either park along the road to the right or get closer to the water up ahead of you. It can seem crowded at first on the sunnier, warm days, however, there is plenty of room around the pond for everyone. The pond is a popular spot for dog owners, so expect to meet new furry friends. The path around the pond is hard dirt, making it a perfect bike-riding loop for kids. The pond is a great spot to float, SUP, kayak and fish, as well! A majority of the pond is surrounded by rocks that you can sit on and jump into the water off of. If you walk toward the back side of the pond, there is a small beach area where you can wade in the water. Once you get there, look right and you’ll see the Stratton ski slopes! We have beach towels and floats you are welcome to use for your time at the pond.
