This park has the absolute best play ground in the County. Just outside it is an outdoor workout station. On the property is a preforming arts center and they have outdoor concerts in the fall months. Plus a lot more! I recommend looking at their website’s events

These are suggestions for Day Trips.
This beach is one of our areas most quaint little beach communities. Its a great place with a nice outdoor restaurant on the beach. I suggest a day trip to Ft. Desota (see seperate listing). Bring a change of clothes, change at the park and head here for an early dinner. Then either stay for Sunset, or head out 40 minutes before sunset for a drive home via the beaches. As sunset approaches look for a public parking to enjoy sunset. Then grab an ice cream. Then GPS it home.

I love this place! Don’t go on Sunday as they don’t do the live concert and that’s an amazing experience you won’t want to miss. They do have a children’s area but kids might get bored wondering around with you.

Safety Harbor is a wonderful quaint town on the bay. They often have events and is best known for its spa resort. You can get a day pass and enjoy their mineral spring fed pool, hot tub, sauna and gym. I have often gone just to have a relax day, sometimes treating myself to a massage then a stroll downtown and a meal. So many awesome restaurants to choose from!
