“Amalienborg is where the queen normally lives. Use some time to visit inside the museum, as it is quick and not expensive, but gives a good impression. Nyhavn, New Harbour in English, is the historic waterfront area close to the castle, and is next to a 17th-century canal where old wooden ships are still moored. Enjoy a cold beer and lunch here – or grab a Danish hotdog from the wagons.”

“Experience a real-life, Danish castle! Rosenborg ("Castle of Roses") used to be the Summer residence of the King and the park sorrounding the castle was his personal vegetable- and rose garden. The castle also holds the collection of the royal jewelry.”

“While the exhibition of the Planetarium is mainly targeted children (the movies in the cinema-dome can be interesting though), the area behind the big building is one of the coziest places to enjoy the Danish Summer evenings. Bring food or coffee and enjoy it while overlooking the lake. This is our absolute favorite spot to spend our evenings and watch the sunset!”
