Field
“At 75m high, the tallest climbing tree in the world. Not for the feint-hearted, the UK's Daily Mail called it 'Australia's most frightening tourist attraction'. And given that you can cage dive with sharks in this fine land, that's a great accolade. Pemberton's Fire Lookout trees are, of course, vast, and were climbed daily by the sturdy people daily, so the views are something else. There's no easy route, just up and down the large spikes that are embedded into the trees and swirl gently around it's trunk.”

Point of Interest
“A beautiful cascading waterfall and the suspension bridge provides one of the best selfie spots in the area. There's the 300m trial and a 4.5km loop that meanders through the karri forest. Part of Beedalup National Park.”

“4WD through the forest to the vast, white dunes that take you out onto Yeagarup Beach. Off-roading at its finest, you can come in down the dunes and return via a flatter route at the southern end of the beach, or to test your mettle, try driving back up the dunes. Seriously good fun. Drop a line into the ocean when the Salmon run and the waves almost turn black with their abundance.”

“Fantastic scenes over the Warren River from many vantage points. The Heartbreak Trail is a one way, gravel drive with both entrance and exit off Old Vasse Road. Very accessible for 2WD vehicles. Many great fishing spots to chase Trout and Redfin Perch.”

“Freshwater fishing and fly fishing. The winding rivers of Warren and Donnelly River and Lefroy Brook are havens for anglers who flock to catch rainbow and brown trout and Redfin perch. At the Pemberton Tourist Centre, ask to book Jim Kitis – the towns resident fly fishing instructor. ”
