“The Viking Triangle in Waterford City is well worth a visit. Waterford is Ireland's oldest city and home to the oldest port, founded by the invading Vikings. The Viking Triangle is Waterford's cultural quarter which centres around a round tower "Reginald's Tower" where the legendary Strongbow married Aoife. Around the corner sits the House of Waterford Crystal where crystal factory tours can be arranged as well as a visit to the crystal showrooms. ”

Museum
“The museum is situated mainly in a new building but below ground you will see some of the oldest parts of Waterford in it's wine cellars. I thoroughly reccommend the guided tour. You'll learn a lot about Waterford's connections to the UK & it's monarchy especially Henry the 8th. Also the museum is home to 'Heaven's embroidered cloths'. Imortalised in the W.B Yeats poem 'Clothes of heaven. They are beautiful & what a history they have. The guided tour with tell you all about them too. ”

“Excellent value, delicious food and a relaxing atmosphere. They do a 2 course value meal for €20 that runs all evening. It's also close to my place and overlooks the river Suir. It's run by two local lads and it's a real taste of Waterford!”
