“Famous! It can take a entire day to go through the Biennale at arsenale and 2 days do see both Arsenale and Giardini. However, years after years, if you only have a day or a half day to dedicate to the biennale I recommend going to Arsenale rather than Giardini.”

“The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto (MART) (Museo d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Trento e Rovereto, in Italian) is a museum centre in the Italian province of Trento. The main site is in Rovereto, and contains mostly modern and contemporary artworks, including works from renowned Giorgio Morandi, Giorgio de Chirico, Carlo Carrà and Fortunato Depero. Fortunato Depero’s house in Rovereto (known as Casa d’Arte Futurista Depero) is also part of the Museum. The permanent collection of the MART contains more than 15,000 artworks, including paintings, drawings, engravings, and sculptures. From Cervano it can be reached through the western Garda road (Gardesana Occidentale). Also this road is a natural masterpiece between the lake and mountains, for its beauty it was also used in the beginning of the movie “007 Quantum of Solace”even if in the movie was written Siena , try it and let us know …”

““The Garden of the famous architect Carlo Scarpa in the Querini Stampalia Fondation in Venice” In the Castello district is located one of the most beautiful and interesting museums: the Querini Stampalia Fondation. In this museum - the only Venetian palace which survived the end of the Republic - you can admire one of the most beautiful gardens of Venice, designed by the famous architect Carlo Scarpa. The restoration by Carlo Scarpa was based on a combination of new and old features and his great skill in the use of materials. He mainly used water as a central decorative element, which in fact came from the canal that overlooks the building, and entered the building through bulkheads that run along the interior walls to reach a large tank layered with copper, concrete and mosaic and a small canal at the ends of which there are two labyrinths carved in alabaster and Istria stone. Water plays a major role in this garden: it keeps on flowing from one side to the other with a gentle murmur to help us enjoy a moment of meditation and suspension and not too loud to disturb an intimate, gentle conversation. Don't miss the garden and the connected palazzo's contemporary art exhibitions, extensive public library and elegant 18th-century rooms. Palazzo and garden visit is about €10, have a look to the website: querinistampalia.it ”

Island
““The most colorful island of the lagoon” If you visit Venice for more than one day, I highly suggest a visit to Burano, a lovely island in the Venetian Lagoon, about 40 minutes on a waterbus from Venice. The Burano Island is mostly famous for its brightly colored houses lined with the canals, which create a sort of urban rainbow. According to the legend, the island's fishermen were the first to color their houses, so they could see them while they were out fishing. True or not, today Burano boasts a unique cheery atmosphere: a sort of dreamland, with flower boxes sitting on the windowsills and gondolas passing along the canals… The island is also famous for its artisan lace production: in the many craft shops that dot the streets you will have the opportunity to admire the master artisans at work, and to buy lace products of the highest quality. Also, among the Burano’s attractions, there's the Lace Museum and a 15th century leaning tower, which is the bell tower of the San Martino church. The colorful island of Burano is the perfect place for a half-day excursion, to discover Venice’s craft tradition and breathe the peacefulness and prettiness of this fisherman’s town.”

“An unusual 100m waterfall that thunders through a vertical limestone tunnel rather than off an open cliff. With the help of metal walkways, you can enter the gorge to see the torrent – and get a soaking in the process. A botanical garden has taken root on the terraced hillside, making use of the perpetual downpour. The waterfall is just outside the village of Varone and 3km northwest of Riva's centre. Bus number 1 will get you there, or you can walk up on bike paths.”

“It’s the most famous attraction in Verona and you already know it. I just want to give you a couple of tips: -if you are planning to visit it in high season, please note that there will be a huge line! Check in internet the Verona Card that will let you skip the line. -if you love art and music, in the Arena there are plenty events all over the year. There are concerts, opera and ballets and, trust me, it’s a real good and unique experience to do. -if you want to eat watching the Arena you can find plenty touristic places near there...but if you want to eat as locals, I can show you some other places.”

“Rialto , Erberia , San Giacometto square , here you find traditional and modern places . You may choose to have a glass of wine sitting at a table outside , enjoyng the view on the Canal Grande or standing in the square to make small talks . Others prefer to go at the next Campo Bella Vienna to eat Cicchetti (fingerfood) and dancing to the rhythm of the music of the nearby bar .”

“The Basilica Palladiana is a Renaissance building in the central Piazza dei Signori in Vicenza, north-eastern Italy. The most notable feature of the edifice is the loggia, which shows one of the first examples of what have come to be known as the Palladian window, designed by a young Andrea Palladio, whose work in architecture was to have a significant effect on the field during the Renaissance and later periods”

“A comparatively little known place, a good exemple of a Renaissance Venetian Scuola ('association, place of meeting'), with its original paintings and furniture still in site. This one has a gorgeous collection of primary works by Vittore Carpaccio, with the histories of St. George and Jerome. In the background of the religious stories, charming landscapes of Venice as it was some centuries ago, sparsely built and with wild vegetation. Fabulous! Un luogo relativamente poco conosciuto, è un bel esempio di scuola rinascimentale veneziana con dipinti e mobili originali ancora in loco. Vi si può ammirare una splendida collezione di opere primarie di Vittore Carpaccio. ”
