“Queen St West, or West Queen West as it's known locally, is Toronto's premier walking street, full of small shops and boutiques, coffee shops and restaurants. It's not a tourist street; it's where Torontonians go to shop and play and live. You could devote an entire visit to just walking Queen Street, from Parkdale in the west, through the shopping district right through downtown. Further east, the neighbourhood of Leslieville offers great restaurants and a friendly vibe. Queen St continues even further east, eventually ending up in the iconic Beach neighbourhood, where the city meets the lake and where each year the Beach Jazz Festival, well jazzes up the scene.”

Stretching along the north shore of Lake Ontario, and located along the Great Lakes Waterfront trail, the boardwalk is often animated with street performers during the summer months and offers access to Toronto's marinas, shops and restaurants, with connections to the Water's Edge Promenade.”

“Bellwoods Brewery is hands down the best place to sample toronto's local brews. I love their Jelly King Sour beer - they do a few different versions of it - raspberry is the best I've had. If you want a heavier brew - the Witchshark IPA is a winner. The food is very good also. They have a seasonal front patio with communal-style seating. The only issue is because the beer is so tasty - it draws a big crowd - so get there early, especially on a nice day. If you cant get to the restaurant, you can also pick up bottles at the bottle shop open until 11pm.”

Opened in 1981 by the Taft Broadcasting Company and The Great-West Life Assurance Company as the first major theme park in Canada, it remains the country's largest. The park, currently owned by Cedar Fair, has been the most visited seasonal amusement park in North America for several consecutive years. As a seasonal park, Canada's Wonderland is open daily from May to September, with weekend openings in late April, October, and early November. ”
