Best things to do in St Petersburg

“To be fair, this is also a wonderful place to go on a sunshiney day. On rainy days, though, you can take your time at the Dali and not feel like you're missing out on a perfect pool day. DEFINITELY use the audio tour equipment that you can get at the front desk, but we recommend that you take one of the public tours with their expert guides. You'll find out SO MUCH MORE, and it will really make the experience pretty amazing. Public gallery tours are free with admission. There's also a garden tour and architecture tours. Check the tour times before you go. After this visit, we guarantee you'll be a total fan of The Most Famous Mustache of All! ”

“Visit nearby Downtown St Petersburg and the artsy atmosphere while also walking along the waterfront with all the yachts and the beautiful Vinoy Hotel. There are plenty of little shops as well as some outside cafes. Parking is on the street and if you go during the week parking is easier. The Salvadore Dali Museum is also located there.”

“I just love the glass room in the museum. It is dark and lit with spot lights so that the pieces sparke and mesmerize. The museum does have some impressionist paintings and hosts a variety of traveling exhibits during the year.”

“Mazzaros is THE best market in Tampa Bay. It is fabulous! Fantastic wine, cheese and bakery section. Amazing prepared foods. A nice coffee bar too and a good lunch spot. Their sirloin steaks are really good. I always go there for steak. They also have homemade pasta as well as prepared pasta dishes. This is a must! But it is crowded! Try to go during the week and if you go on a Saturday be prepared.”
