Best things to do in San Francisco

“Dogpatch has a gritty history, earning its name from feral dogs who roamed around the butcher houses near the waterfront at the turn of the century. A canning factory, warehouses, the region's largest dry dock followed. Dogpatch is now a hub of local makers, artists, designers, and entrepreneurs, a resurgence made possible by the new T-Third light rail line that opened several years ago. Great place to eat, shop, explore.”

“This is another small sushi place located 1 block up the street. It's in an underground little mall at 16th Street--the entrance is just before you get to Market Street. Their happy hour is usually a great deal. Good for vegetarians, too.”

“The classic Tommy’s margarita is pretty much the version that we make in almost all the bars I run. It’s a very simple, naked margarita: tequila, lime, agave, salt rim if you want it—but no orange liqueur. It’s just really simple and classic. I’ve heard that Tommy’s has one of the best tequila selections in the world. What makes drinking here special is Julio Bermejo, who is often behind the bar. If you get the chance to sit in front of Julio, that’s the way to go. He’s such an amazing guy. He really cares about what he does and is full of knowledge—he’s basically the ambassador of tequila.”
