“The Legion of Honour, San Francisco's most beautiful museum, displays an impressive collection of 4,000 years of ancient and European art in an unforgettable setting with dramatic views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Pacific Ocean. The Legion’s rich collection, approximately 250 paintings on view present a survey of artistic accomplishments by Europe’s leading masters, such as Claude Monet. The Ancient Art collection contains splendid examples of art from these early civilisations, spanning more than 5,000 years, ”

“A former bathhouse that burned down, Sutro Baths is a must for sight-seeing. Travelers can still see remnants of the former bathhouse and it is extremely cool to walk on the skeleton of it. There are a couple easy trails near Sutro Baths that lead to killer views of the Golden Gate Bridge!”

“Obviously, no trip to the Bay Area is complete without a visit to The Golden Gate Bridge. I suggest pulling off at the last exit before crossing and driving up the Headlands for an amazing view and cruise along the shoreline. ”

“[Add-On to the Golden Gate Park Top 10+ Tour: Hiking Trail] This path down to Sutro Baths is one that I highly recommend for anyone visiting this side of San Francisco. The path down from the Lands End Trail will bring you out to the point overlooking the Pacific Ocean and then loop you back through the foundation of the old Sutro Baths -- where the city would come to bathe in the days before people had running water in their homes. Be sure to read about the history of this location.”

“Another of our favorites. It's only open Friday-Sunday, so plan accordingly. See how the soldiers lived while guarding the entrance to the Bay. Walk up to the top and stand directly under the Golden Gate Bridge.”

“Sausalito Public Library Booksale: I LOVE the Sausalito Public Library book sale! It is organized like a bookstore and has a fantastic selection of titles in great condition. Paperbacks are generally $2. There is a great non-fiction section around the corner from the main hall. It is rare I go here and don't come out with the title/author I am looking for! The volunteers are cheerful and always happy to help you find a book! HOURS: Monday 9am-5pm, Wednesday 10am-1pm, Saturday 10am-1pm”
