“Get up close and personal with wildlife. You can buy food pellets and feed the animals from your drive through window of your car. They see you coming and they know the drill, the ostriches are the most assertive. ”

“There are four missions in San Antonio that you may or may not have heard about! The Alamo is not included in these and is actually the smallest. The biggest, and my favorite, is Mission San José. It has a beautiful courtyard around it, a lot of history, a church still in use, and all are free to visit.”

Park
“This is one my family’s Favorite places to spend time at in downtown San Antonio. An old brewery turned into upscale Hotel Emma and dining district. There’s always something going on. Pearl Farmer’s Market on Sat-Sun mornings, the Bottling Department Food Hall open daily, plenty of whimsical boutiques, our personal fav, Bakery Lorraine(try the macaroons 😍), and of course the scenic river walk. There’s also a splash pad for the little ones on a hot day! Anytime someone comes to visit, this is a must see!”

“Take the kids and the dogs (leashed please!) to this super fun park in the middle of San Antonio. Multiple playgrounds and a splash-pad make it super family friendly, and bonus: the Tower of the Americas is smack dab in the middle! Try the fresh-fruit paletas (that’s San Antonio for popsicle) at Paleteria San Antonio right there in the park, they’re a delicious SA tradition. ”

Park
“This is a special place for special kids. When Gordon Hartman decided to build this place his motivation was from watching his daughter shy away from playing with other kids because she was different. His belief that EVERY child has the right to play regardless of their abilities has built this magnificent park for all to enjoy. Your kids will love it!”
