“Another great McMenamins, view unique art unique to each building they restore. Each place is a unique amazing experience that we just can't get enough of or their craft beers, or craft wines, or craft spirits they make!”

“You've probably heard about it: it's very, very popular. Try it for a weekday lunch or expect a very long wait. Instead, look up HA VL or Rose VL for incredible soups, or try Master Kong or Chin's Kitchen for something different.”

“ One of the best breakfast/brunch/dinner spots in the neighborhood and an easy 15min walk. There is almost always a wait but it's quick... walk around the hood while your table awaits.”

“Our family's favorite dinner spot! Great brunch spot as well! Bring a book, as we've never been sat under 30 minutes - but it's well worth it! ”

“American fast-food style burger in a bar/restaurant with a nice outdoor patio. Most pubs in the neighborhood offer good, hefty burgers with plenty of dressings, this is a simpler, slightly smaller one, but solid and satisfying. This restaurant is attached to the lovely Mississippi Studios music venue.”

“You will find lines down the block late at night. This is a Portland institution. You can always tell the tourists. They are walking around with the big pink boxes of Voodoo Donuts. All shapes, sizes and types of donuts.”

“An authentic Ming Dynasty style garden, built by Suzhou artisans, that takes up an entire block of the city’s historic Chinatown district. Since the garden’s opening in 2000, its covered walkways, bridges, open colonnades, pavilions and richly planted landscape framing the Zither Lake have created an urban oasis of tranquil beauty and harmony.”

“Bollywood Theatre - $ - Even though my Indian friend Ravi says no self respecting Indian would ever eat here (they serve beef) it still has to be included on the list due to it having what is possibly our favorite dish of any spot in Portland. Gobi Manchurian. Order it. Don’t look at what’s in it. Bite into it. Think to yourself, “damn that’s a wild take on fried chicken.” Realize quickly that it’s not in fact chicken but cauliflower. Repeat. A funky interior and fast casual service amounts to a must try spot. Must Try - Gobi Manchurian, Vada Pav”
