“Experimental art! Be aware there are three separate buildings; the main entrance is on Sampsonia Way by the cafe and gift shop. This place is not for everyone, and it may have inappropriate content for children depending on the exhibits, but it's awesome for art-lovers.”

The Carnegie Museums complex is located in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh and encompasses the Carnegie Museum of Art, the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and the Hall of Sculpture and Architecture. Other connected buildings include the Carnegie Free Library and Pittsburgh's own Carnegie Music Hall.”

History Museum
“Better than you might think! Has so much in their exhibits and collections, all of which are well done - from Mr. Rogers, Heinz, and Pittsburgh sports to history of Pittsburgh's African American, Jewish, and other communities. If you like exploring the history of this city, a great place to visit!”

History Museum
“The tour is self-guided, although there are knowledgeable employees available to answer questions. The tour provides a glimpse of the conditions on board, particularly the close quarters in which the sailors had to operate. Note how cramped the heads (toilets) and showers are. There's little room available for anything. The levers, knobs, and dials alone took up so much space! Tickets are $7 for the tour by itself, but it's included with the admission price of the science museum, which is right next door”

Library
“Stunning, enormous 19th-century library with a cafe, classes open to the public, and kids' activities. For instance, every Saturday from 10:30-11AM is story reading for kids age 0-36 months; after the reading, kids can play with puzzles, a toy train set or of course books.”
