We are Liberty Hill Farm, in Rochester, Vermont! Tours run Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 9 am. Our farm tours are scheduled to coincide with daily chores to allow guests the opportunity to experience daily farm life. Guests will be able to watch the cow milking process and even try their hand at milking! From there, we will explain the journey from cow to milk jug. Guests will learn about the different ages and stages of the dairy cow, from birth through adulthood. We will meet, pet, and even feed baby calves, explore the barns, and meet kitties. Every tour is adjusted to meet the needs and interests of our guests. We encourage our guests to participate hands-on, and encourage questions and ideas! We simply love to share our love of farming and our animals with others! ***All proceeds from our farm tours go directly to our nonprofit organization, Liberty Hill Center for Agricultural Education. *** Other things to note: I only book about a month in advance, so if your preferred date does not appear, check back! Tours will be held rain or shine! I only cancel if temperatures are below zero, so please plan accordingly! It is up to the guest to check weather reports. Guests are welcomed into our beautiful barn where there will be a short explanation about how to safely interact with our goats and then we will head into our goat pen for your "goat therapy" hour! Guests are often surprised at how friendly our goats are! Goats are funny, curious creatures who are very smart and capable of knowing their names and learning daily routines. And since this is a working dairy goat farm every spring there will be a lot of bouncy GOAT BABIES to play with!! While visiting please feel free to ask questions, we love to talk about our goats and share what we have learned through our experience as dairy goat farmers. You are welcome to take photos and share them on social media but please tag our farm, we'd love to see your pictures! We can’t wait for you to join us on the farm and meet our amazing goats! Take a guided horseback riding tour on our 300+ acres of private mountain trails lead by an experienced guide. After signing up and meeting the horses, we will show you the skills you need to ride through our trails. You will be accompanied by an experienced trail guide the entire time. This is a beginner friendly ride, most of the ride is walking, we go at the pace of the least experienced rider in the group. If you would like to do some more trotting, don't want to ride in a group, or are experienced, we recommend booking a private ride. The ride itself is 1 hour long and is done in a western saddle. The minimum age is 7 years to ride. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or requests before booking!

Some even have all the drinks still in tea cups in case the police would raid them back in 1920's and was featured in the TV show Boardwalk Empire for its historical accurate decor and atmosphere. Welcome to the world of miniature horses! From history to living requirements, grooming, training, and showing, we will share it all! Tour the horse farm! Our loveable small equines are ready for incidental petting, grooming and on the ground care! Basic encounter rain or shine! For our session, we start in the morning at Jane's Carousel with the best light and least traffic. We will explore DUMBO, along with other respected cultural locations. Traditional art classes can be intimidating. This laid-back atmosphere is perfect for anyone looking to try out their painting skills. Plus, everything is better with GOATS! A brief introduction of the residents and tour of the sanctuary is followed by setting up materials and getting creative. With an approach of “art as therapy”, we can be as instructive or inspiring as each guest needs. We provide the professional art materials, easels, smocks complimentary beverages and the super cute, affectionate goats! You can either bring your masterpiece home or donate it to the sanctuary to help them raise funds. You will learn to make chocolate truffles from scratch and learn the proper way of filling them, make layering them in delicious toppings of your choice.
