History Museum
“The National World War II Museum tells the story of the of the American Experience in the war that changed the world. If you love history, you can spend an entire day in this museum. This museum has some great vintage military aircrafts, weapons, tanks, artifacts and exhibits from the WW II. Go for ‘Beyond All Boundaries’ show which costs an extra $5 apart from the ticket but it is totally worth it. I spent almost 4 hours in this museum but couldn’t finish it!”

Südstaaten- / Afroamerikanisches Restaurant

“If you are a foodie and have a list of places you should eat before you die. This restaurant is in your top three. It is by reservation only and has a strict dress code. I recommend eating at lunch and being prepared to spend three wonderful hours of the best food and service in town. They also have 25 cent martinis at lunch time, go ahead and order but be aware that it is not top shelf being used. I have ordered taken a sip and then ordered a regular cocktail instead. Love their French 75. I also love the banana’s foster, they bring out to the table and cook with the very dramatic flare, but this is a two persons desert, other great desert are the bread pudding and strawberry shortcake, both of which taken about thirty minutes to prepare and should be ordered at the beginning of the meal to allow for perfect timing. ”

“Located in historic Uptown New Orleans Audubon Zoo offers an exotic mix of animals from around the globe, engaging educational programs, hands-on animal encounters and lush gardens. Unique natural habitat exhibits—such as the award-winning Louisiana Swamp and Jaguar Jungle—showcase the relationship between people and nature. Don't miss the daily animal presentations, chats and feeds; our highly endangered whooping cranes, Amur leopards and orangutans; our tiger; and our mysterious white alligators. Audubon Zoo is often ranked among the country’s best for innovation and entertainment value!”

“The French Quarter is the city’s historic heart, famous for its vibrant nightlife and colorful buildings with cast-iron balconies. Crowd-pleasing Bourbon Street features jazz clubs, Cajun eateries and raucous bars serving potent cocktails. Quieter streets lead to the French Market, with gourmet food and local crafts, and to Jackson Square where street performers entertain in front of soaring St. Louis Cathedral.”

“This beautiful Bywater spot is not just a great restaurant, in fact that's just another reason to go. It has a great outdoor pool and hot tub, as well as indoor and outdoor (as weather and demand allows) bar. The spot is gay-owned and very friendly in the community. If the weather is warm and sunny, it's worth an afternoon by the pool!”
