“Adobe Verde is located just off the Guadalupe River in historic Gruene, Texas. Its food is prepared fresh daily. All of the ingredients are fresh, and everything from the tortilla soup to the chimichanga is made from scratch. Come on in and join the staff for a delicious meal or award-winning margaritas! Guests enjoy live music Thursday through Sunday and the bands are handpicked with them in mind. Watch the kids play on our outdoor playground, have an ice cold beer and let the music relax you on a Texas night.”

“Tubing on the Comal River. This is a shorter tube trip that takes you through New Braunfels and a tube chute. You can park and get in and walk back or use one of the shuttle services. The waters here are warmer than the Guadalupe River.”

“Head south on Hunter Road about 20 minutes to Gruene, which is known for shops and restaurants. There is a good deal of both, though it’s hard to beat the river views from the famous Gristmill (1287 Gruene Rd.) which serves typical next-to-the-river fare (burgers, Tex-Mex, etc.) and many, many beers. Be sure to see who’s playing next door at Gruene Hall, as free concerts occur often, though big headliners play here too. ”
