“Our son worked there for many years. This is a long way out of town but magnificent location, pricey but definitely the place for a special occasion. They have a launch from the Brant Point Grille dock downtown to take you to Topper's for lunch or dinner (with a reservation) so that is basically a free boat road to/from downtown across the harbor that makes the price of the meal seem more reasonable!! Beyond this restaurant and inn is nothing but 8 miles of sand to Great Point and is accessible only by permit and a 4WD vehicle.”

“"Originally opened as a small tea house at the turn of the century, The Chanticleer is now one of the premier restaurants on Nantucket. One of the most romantic destinations on the island, you may linger over an intimate lunch in the Rose Garden or come together with family and friends for a convivial dinner in one of our personal dining rooms- al fresco on warm evenings. The lush gardens produce organic herbs, flowers, berries and seasonal vegetables for the kitchen. An extensive wine list features some of the finest wines in the world."”
