“There's a debate on which bagel shop is the best in town, but you can't come to Montreal without chowing on some Montreal-style bagels. This one is my go-to. ”

“Notre-Dame Basilica is a basilica in the historic district of Old Montreal, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The church is located at 110 Notre-Dame Street West, at the corner of Saint Sulpice Street. It is located next to the Saint-Sulpice Seminary and faces the Place d'Armes square.”

“The other contender, with St-Viateur, for best bagel in the city. Maybe try both? ~35 minute walk ~ 20-25 minutes on the bus (55N up St-Laurent) ~15-20 minute Bixi (shared bike service)”

“One of the best brewery Montreal has! It gets pretty crowded because its been there for 20 years now and its super popular, and not too big. Its worth to wait a little to taste their great selection of beer and share a nachos in an unpretentious bar. ”

“Many Montreal festivals and concerts are there (jazz festival, francofolie, just for laugh, etc.). Only 20 minutes away, take the bus 129. It's also just a nice place to visit with lights and fountains.”

“Quintessential Montreal Must See. The old port of Montreal transports you to the little Europe of Montreal. Here you'll find the old cobble stone roads right by the port adjacent to some of the best restaurants , terraces , bars and coffee shops. Beautiful in the winter and summer.”

“Not exactly a brewery. It's a pub. It's got a great collection of spirits, and they have the local beer Bierbrier. English and English-inspired food and a great atmosphere - basically I try not to go here very often because I never want it to become 'the corner bar' or too pedestrian, when it's really within 300 m of home. On football or other championship days, they'll open the screens for people to watch the games, but they decidedly are NOT a sports bar where the screens are tuned 24/7 to something that distracts you from your friends and the people around you.”
