“Michelin-starred famous HK Dimsum style restaurant. Try there roasted pork buns, shrimp and pork dumplings, beef balls, and the likes. They have a limited menu so its not too difficult to decide on what you feel like having. A must for dimsum first timers.”

“Egg tarts, famous egg tarts. From the hungry onion: "Of HK’s many bakeries, the one which stood out in many people’s minds must be Tai Cheong (Est. 1954) on Lyndhurst Terrace, Central - it was the one mentioned by HK’s last British Governor, Chris Patten, as his favorite bakery in the colony. Chris Patten, affectionately nicknamed “Fei Pang” (Fatty Pang) was well-known among HKers for his gustatory exploits. He’d famously quipped that he “could not go a day without an egg tart from Tai Cheong”.”

“Tsim Sha Tsui, or as locals only refer to as TST, is situated in the heart of Kowloon Peninsula. The area of Tsim Sha Tsui and its surroundings is one of the most popular tourist attractions. Tsim Sha Tsui is one of the true places where East-meet-West. One could describe it as a tourist hotspot, evolving to a cosmopolitan shopping and dining hub. Still you are able to trace, find and discover Hong Kong’s historic heritage and past. Simply walk along the Tsim Sha Tsui districts towards Victoria Harbour. Maybe you can find out why Hong Kong is also referred to as the Fragrant Harbour.”

“Ali Oli is a bakery and cafe - good food at good prices. Loaf On does Chinese food - and it has a Michelin star but is not crazy expensive. We find the Chinese seafood places on the seafront overpriced. There are also several cheap Thai restaurants in Sai Kung town centre and lots of western eateries: Paisanos is cheap and good for pizza. Above Baccos bar, Jojos is a great Indian restaurant (in the Michelin Guide). On the seafront, Camden Town does good fish and chips. On the square, Jaspers, Big Fish and Piccolos are all good (but not cheap).”
