“With bland chains taking over Hanoi’s café scene, ancient holes such as this one have become revered treasures. To be sure, Cafe Giang’s timeworn patina is almost a bleak exaggeration of communist-era non-chic. Giang Café is humbly hidden on a small lane on Nguyen Huu Huan Street in the city’s old quarter. It may be difficult to find for visitors, but it is well worth the effort. It continues to be hugely popular among Hanoi’s coffee addicts with its special ca phe trung, or egg coffee. Giang Café was founded by My Father ,”

“Ta Hien Street, located in the heart of Hanoi Old Quarter, in the French colonial time called Géraud, is two-hundred-meter street, intersect with Hang Bac Street and Hang Buom Street. This street was named the “international crossroads” because there are many foreign tourists and has been included in the list of “places have to go in Hanoi” when traveling overseas of the foreigners. People reminds to it as a place for tourists to be able to feel the soul of Hanoi, which is simple and the intersection of the old and the new, of the East and the West. No one can deny that Ta Hien is a paradise on Earth for those with passion for street food. No matter what time you come to this place throughout the year, its incredible list of food always inspires you a lot. All things considered, do not hesitate to enter this wonderful street to explore very interesting stuff in the Vietnamese culture of street food. ”

“ Giang Cafe in Hanoi is famous for its egg coffee, which includes egg yolk, Vietnamese coffee powder, sweetened condensed milk, butter and cheese. The egg yolk is whisked up and put into the coffee, followed by the rest of the ingredients, and the drink is kept in hot water to maintain its temperature.”

“Xofa, from the English word ‘sofa’, epitomizes comfort. There are seating options that fit every possible need from comfortable desk chairs to squishy couches to makeshift beds (naps aren’t discouraged during the quiet midnight hours). The beautifully illustrated menu has a vast selection of food and drinks that are reasonably priced compared with other Hanoi cafe-restaurants in the same vein. And on the upstairs floors, hanging lights droop from the ceiling to create personalized and cozy spots for you to chat quietly with friends or fiddle around with your laptop. Even the music is blissfully perfect.”

“This one is such a MUST, i don't know how many people have recommended about this coffee shop. Egg coffee in Cafe Dinh is unarguably the most authentic one in Hanoi. The price is incredibly cheap and all drinks generally reflect exactly Hanoian's taste (The owner is an old lady who lives in Oldquarter her whole life. It turns out that she used to teach my dad when he was a child) Now that, her children continue to run the shop. Such a fine family business. ”

“The very famous place for egg coffee - one of Hanoi's own specialties. The cafe is hidden at the back of the alley way, but it is very famous for the traditional recipe of egg coffee and other variations of it, e.g. egg hot cocoa, iced coffee. The decoration is retro and represents the old days of Vietnam's capital city. ”
