Point of Interest
“If you are a hiking enthusiast, and are considering a hike through the rain forest, then you should make the Seven Sisters Falls one of your destinations. This is not a very difficult hike, and it will take you through a private plantation where you will get the chance to see cocoa, nutmeg and banana trees and how they are grown. The hike to the falls only takes about 45 minutes, and you will pass through part of the rain forest to get there. If it has rained recently, the trail can get a little muddy, so it is advisable to wear something you are not particularly fond of. Of course, when the trail is muddy, it is also a lot more fun. ”

“The 450 acre Levera National Park holds a strong reputation as Grenada's most scenic and spectacular coastal area. Its picture-perfect beach is quite popular on weekends, and its lagoon is one of the most important wildlife habitats on the island. Consisting of an extensive mangrove swamp, the lagoon is a haven for an abundance of bird species, including many herons, black-necked stilts, common snipes, and other waterfowl. Levera's marine areas are equally esteemed, with outstanding coral reefs and sea grass beds that shelter lobster and beautiful reef fishes. The beaches are also a hatchery for sea turtles, which are protected from May to September. ”

“Underwater Sculpture Park The Sculptures One of our most popular snorkeling sites is an underwater gallery of sculptures in our Molinere Beauséjour Marine Protected Area, that very much reflect Grenada’s culture. Fashioned from a variety of media but predominantly from simple substrates including concrete and rebar, they create an ideal substrate, relatively fixed and permanent, on which marine life may develop. They are sympathetically located to enhance the reef, making natural use of its varied topography of craggy gullies and sun-dappled sandy patches. As artificial reefs, these sculptures are proving highly successful so far in attracting a stunning array of varied marine life. ”
