“Everglades National Park is a 1.5-million-acre wetlands preserve on the southern tip of the U.S. state of Florida. Often compared to a grassy, slow-moving river, the Everglades is made up of coastal mangroves, sawgrass marshes and pine flatwoods that are home to hundreds of animal species. Among the Everglades' abundant wildlife are the endangered leatherback turtle, Florida panther and West Indian manatee.”

Hafen / Marina
“I highly recommend this place. Besides having a restaurant and bar by the water, it is a unique place to feed Tarpons. There's a small fee to access to the dock and to buy a bucket of sardines to feed the Tarpons. These are huge fish that come out to the water to feed from your hand. Lots of fun for all ages. There are a lot of small shops in the property selling all sorts of Keys arts and crafts. You can also rent kayaks and paddle to Indian Key just on the other side of the bridge. You can actually dock on Indian key and walk around the former ancient indian settlement.”
