“This park is an amazing loop for a 2.6 mile run or walk. Very flat, so good for roller skating or biking, too. A good leisure recommendation is that you find a shady spot under a tree and pack a picnic or watch the sunset. With views of the Denver skyline on the east side of the lake and views of the mountains on the west side of the lake, you can't go wrong. Enjoy!!”

“10 min from us. A fun swim area, but even better are all of the trails that go in and out of the park. Perfect for an evening walk, but if you love biking, you can basically go anywhere in the city from here with all of the trails and access points. Lots of trail heads to avoid paying an entrance fee and enjoy some beautiful CO weather. ”

“2.5 miles, adjoining the Capitol grounds. You can always count on a demonstration, small or large. Tuesdays are Food Truck lunch days. Capitol faces the courthouse, which is colorfully lit every December until after the Stock Show ends in January. Flanking the park on the south are the downtown library (designed by Michael Graves) and the Dener Art Museum (designed over the years by Gio Ponti and Daniel Libeskind). To the north are downtown and the 16th Street Mall.”

“Flanked by the South Platte River, the park's west edge emphasizes the river's natural character with native grasses and wetlands. In contrast, on the east side, the park's features are more urban and make a connection to downtown Denver. The tree-lined promenade along Little Raven Street offers numerous seating areas and entries into the park.”

“1 mile west on 32nd is a 60 acre lake with a nature preserve and beautiful views of the Front Range (Eastern face of the Rocky Mountains). We love walking around Crown Hill - I always imagine I'm Laura Ingalls crossing the plains and just seeing the mountains for the first time when I'm walking around Crown Hill!”
