“Northerly Island is a nature preserve built over an old airfield that is now part of the Museum Campus. Featuring a 40-acre park, an outdoor concert venue, and numerous artworks, this man-made peninsula is a place to visit that is a little more tucked away. The "island" offers a great view of the Chicago skyline that isn't to be found in other guidebooks.”

“This is a hidden jem and you don't even feel like you are in the city anymore. It's kind of hard to find if you don't know where you are going. (Near the parking lot entrance of the zoo on Fullerton)”

“The Ping Tom Memorial Park is in the Chinatown neighborhood. It is surounded by good food and small shops. The best part of the park is the Chicago Water Taxi access. For $10, you can get an all day pass on the water taxis that will take you all along the river up to Michigan Avenue and stops in between. It is the cheapest way to travel on the river and great for pictures.”
