“Spend all day here & learn why & how the Pilgrims arrived. Half the ship was from Holland & the others were searching for a “New England”. The Native American tribe, the Wampanoags tell their story using a more modern technique. The entire village is replicated from 400 years ago. ”

Lighthouse
“ Of the original 10 acre site, only four remain! This is Cape Cod’s first lighthouse, commissioned by President George Washington in 1797. There’s history in the sand and a lot of it begins on the Outer Cape. See what makes Cape Cod such a special place with this great example of one of the Cape Cod lighthouses that has survived the punishment of the Atlantic and Nor’Easters to still offer tours daily (in the season).”

“ The lighthouse is located on the shore just east of Woods Hole Village in Falmouth, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod. Standing on a bluff, the lighthouse overlooks Falmouth, Martha's Vineyard, the Elizabeth Islands, Vineyard and Nantucket Sounds, and Woods Hole Passage. Until 2012 the light keeper's house served as the residence for the Commanding Officer of United States Coast Guard Sector Southeastern New England. When visiting, please be respectful of the grounds and neighbors. The grounds are open to visit, photograph, and enjoy from dawn to dusk. The buildings and lighthouse tower are not currently open to the public. They will be in the future.”
