“Great views at the top! Be aware this is a moderately challenging trail. You are walking uphill the entire way up, but it's definitely worth the beauty. ”

“Our favorite park to picnic at and let the kids wade in the creek if it's a warm day out. Bring a picnic blanket or use one of the picnic tables alongside the water. Also fun to throw a ball on the big grassy lawn. ”

“Aside from an extensive forested trail system, Chautauqua has live music, theater, dance, and film there all summer long. It's worth taking a look at the website to see what they have going on if you're interested in art and culture. ”

“Wonderland is a great walk from our house. You can take the bike path under Broadway towards the mountains, go past the dog park to the right, and take a left (south) when the dirt trail Ts at the base of the foothills. Wonderland Lake has a peaceful half mile trail around it. There are dozens of other hiking trails in the area, all accessible by bike and foot. ”

“This is a loop trail. you can do an hour hike, or you can go up Fern Gully to the top of Bear Mountain (I think that is what it is called, I do the one hour hike normally). It is so pretty. There are open views and a beautiful walk through the trees with light and shadows. I always feel peaceful on this hike. The longer hike is about four hours and very steep. Great views. Bring water!”
