“One of the pioneer restaurant in SPice Canopy - Pony Tale de Cafe still standing strong today, despite several restaurants within the vicinity had changed ownership. Being a 2 storey restaurant that served a variety of Western and fusion dishes, coupled with unique decoration for a comfy dining date, Pony Tale de Cafe is a decent place for a relaxing lunch or dinner appointment. They offered an extensive range of menu, and the price is relatively competitive compared to the surroundings markets. ”

“You can find a lot of nice cakes here, but the main course like the spaghetti or the chicken chop taste below average. It is a nice place to have a tea break. Below RM10 can buy you a nice cake with a tea.”

“Reframe Coffee Roasters is a new cafe, adopting a minimalism design. Despite serving no main courses at all, Reframe Coffee Roasters would be a heaven for coffee connoisseurs in Penang, offering a wide range of filter coffee utilizing Arabica beans from various countries. It therefore transcended beyond cafe trend in Penang, as thus far there were only a handful of cafe focusing at serving coffee solely. Desserts selections are available though limited in choice. ”

“st. Presso is a worth-mentioning one. The newly opened cafe takes on a rather simple but cozy and spacious setting. It does not have any eye-catching mural paints or funky furniture but rather, comfortable couches and ordinary wooden chairs. Foods were pretty standard-average on our visit but St. Presso is definitely one of the few cafes that exudes the warmth of home (at least for me). A good place to drop by for your caffeine fix or to grab a sandwich for your light lunch.”
