We are only 5 minutes walk from the market place,yet 5 minutes the other way finds you in the Peak District National Park. A private lounge downstairs is solely for the use of guests, then upstairs there is a large en suite bedroom. The accommodation is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families, secure storage available for bikes.

  • Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt sehr genossen und mochte besonders das extra kleine Wohnzimmer. Julie hat mir die beste Heimroute empfohlen, wenn ich in der Nähe der Stadt spazieren gehe, da die Lastwagen auf der Hauptstraße ein bisschen zu viel sind. Das Hotel ist schön und ruhig und das Bett ist bequem. Seien Sie sich bewusst, dass sich das Anwesen auf jedem Weg, den Sie gehen, auf einem sehr steilen Hügel befindet.

    Located centrally in Ashbourne close to all the amenities of the lovely market town. Market Place still has the Saturday market with the Thursday market held nearer to the library. Artisan markets held during summer which are great. The building is one of the oldest in town allegedly. Grade 2 listed and part of the conservation area. The character of the accommodation apparent with uneven floors and windows at strange angles having moved with the building since 1700’s.
    The flat has been fully re-carpeted in January 2019. Large living room with folding dining table and 4 chairs. Corner bed settee in front of wall mounted tv and Sky Freeview if looking out of the windows people watching!! WiFi router located next tv. Electric stove in fireplace with additional thermostatic wall heater near dining table Bedroom with double bed, chest of drawers, hair drier and thermostatic wall heater Kitchen with fridge, oven, hob top, microwave, toaster, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, kettle and iron.     Close to all the town amenities. Gateway to the Peak District, Alton Towers, Bakewell, Buxton, Matlock all a lovely drive away. Being in the centre of a bustling market town means it can be a little noisy at times. A great town to explore and find those gems about town which makes it so well liked and visited time and again. Most people have their own favourites, which is testament to the efforts of the wealth of independent business which thrive in the town. Forget Costa and Subway etc, and find your own favourites.

    Beautifully restored former Georgian Town Inn, set in the heart of a picturesque market town, in the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District. Country walks, bike rides and water sports are all on the doorstep, as well as tea rooms and deli's a plenty!
  • Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in Tiffanys Haus. Kommunikation und Check-In waren völlig problemlos und inkompliziert. Das Haus ist hervorragend gelegen und wirklich schön eingerichtet und sehr gemütlich. Das Highlight ist der Kamin im Wohnzimmer, wo bereits alles für ein abendliches Feuer hergerichtet war. Hier haben wir gemütliche Abende verbracht. Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden und würden bestimmt nochmal kommen, wenn es uns wieder nach Ashbourne verschlägt.

    I have two good sized bed-sits with a shared bathroom and shared kitchen, or optionally small kitchenette. Redecorated with new carpet, with a view over a private garden with trees. We are a five minute walk from the bus station. Ideally I would like someone who is working and looking for a medium or long stay, or maybe weekly commute. I am happy to consider any one who applies, and do not always require references. The rooms are upstairs, so sadly not for anyone who cannot manage the stairs.
    This is in a Georgian townhouse, and downstairs is the local history museum, The Ashbourne Heritage Centre. There are many places to eat and drink within a few minutes of the door.
    Ashbourne is one of the most visited towns in the area, being about 4 miles from both Dove Dale for walking and Carsington Water for activites and water sports. Cycle hire is nearby, with good traffic free cycle routes.

    Charming and comfortable cottage for two located in the guest wing of our long traditional farmhouse. We have a Swedish hot-tub and barrel sauna in the farmhouse gardens which can be booked and hired by guests for a unique elemental experience. *IF YOU INTEND TO HIRE THE HOT TUB OR SAUNA, PLEASE MAKE SURE IT IS AVAILABLE WHEN YOU BOOK* (extra cost - for price see 'other things to note' section) Through its own front door you have a small entrance hall with hanging space for coats, a cosy sitting room with log stove, books and a big flat telly if you need it. This leads to a light and comfortable kitchen dining room. This room, with its glass roof, used to be the old barrel ceilinged wash house with an old copper for heating the water. Now it has a small, simple but well equipped kitchen and a big table where you can relax and watch the cows or sheep wander past. The back door, leads up old stone steps to a tiny patio area with garden furniture, but, of course you can also enjoy the big country garden at the front of the house too. Up the main stairs there is a little landing which leads to a spacious bedroom with the best of the beautiful views across the Peak District and beyond. There is a canopied king size bed with beautifully laundered Egyptian cotton sheets in which you can oversleep and the room's en-suite bathroom has a rainfall shower. We have a large biomass boiler which provides plenty of hot-water and keeps the central heating going whenever you need it so you will be cosy and warm all year round. Walk straight from the door over beautiful Bunster hill to Dovedale and its famous stepping stones, or along the ridge of the Manifold Valley, or beyond, there are so many walks to choose from.
    Swallows skimming about, the scent of homemade organic bread and a selection of local and homemade goodies are the things that may greet you when you arrive at our organic dairy farm in the Peak District National Park. Our home is a farmhouse on an organic dairy farm in the beautiful Peak District National Park. Built from local limestone the farmhouse has been added to over the centuries since the 1500's. We run our business in the most environmentally friendly way we can without compromising on comfort for our guests. In 2018 we won gold for Sustainability in the Enjoy Staffs Tourism Awards! We have a Swedish hot-tub and barrel sauna in the farmhouse gardens which can be booked and hired by guests for a unique elemental experience (make sure you reserve this when you book your accommodation as it is very popular - and does cost extra).
    The farm is set in the most stunning scenery and looks over the valleys of the Peak District. There are three self catering cottages on the farm, but none are overlooked. The village of Ilam is picturesque with beautiful chocolate box Swiss style houses and past the Anglo Saxon church there is Ilam Park, a National Trust property with a lovely tearoom. Our nearest towns are Ashbourne and Leek, both market towns with quirky shops and boutiques alongside the usual shops and supermarkets. There is a host of interesting villages such as Tissington with the best traditional sweet shop ever or Hartington with a delicious farm shop cafe and legendary cheese shop. Further afield there is Bakewell, Buxton, Tideswell and Eyam. We are spoiled for choice with interesting places to visit: Chatsworth; Haddon Hall; Sudbury Hall; Go Ape; Alton Towers; Peak Wildlife Park; Coombs Valley Nature Reserve; Crich Tramway Museum or The Heights of Abraham are just a few. We are really lucky that we have some brilliant pubs and restaurants in the area for a great selection of real ale or really delicious food.

  • Dies ist der magischste Ort mit einer atemberaubenden Aussicht, einem stilvollen Layout und einem perfekten Whirlpoolbereich. Mein Freund und ich verlobten uns unter den Sternen in dem von Kerzen beleuchteten schwedischen Whirlpool. Es gab ein romantisches Gefühl mit einer kerzenbeleuchteten Hüttensauna, die mit einem Holzofen heiß gehalten wurde. Die Besitzer waren sehr herzlich und freuten sich sehr über unser Engagement auf ihrem Hof. Einfach perfekt und wir kommen wieder.

  • Unser Aufenthalt im alten Waschhaus war einfach unglaublich. Das Hotel war wunderschön eingerichtet, sehr komfortabel und sehr sauber. Wir würden das Whirlpool-Erlebnis wärmstens empfehlen, da es ein absolut atemberaubender Abend war. Die umliegende Landschaft ist in alle Richtungen wunderschön.   • Ein schönes Ferienhaus in idyllischer Hügellage. Herrliche Ausblicke auf die umliegende Landschaft aus dem Schlafzimmerfenster und einfacher Zugang zu den meisten Gipfeln. Die Küche war mit allem bestückt, was man sich nur wünschen konnte, und wir kamen, um Milch von den Beechenhill Farm-Kühen und hausgemachten Kuchen zu bekommen. Ich würde das Erlebnis des Whirlpools wärmstens empfehlen und zu den Trittsteinen von Dovedale gehen. Wir haben auch einen Tag in Sheffield verbracht, was großartig ist, wenn Sie Stadtvibes wollen!

Es befindet sich in einem schönen Teil des Landes und wenn Sie eine Flucht inmitten der Natur suchen, ist es das Richtige für Sie.     The end one of a row of 17th century Grade II listed almshouses, this quaint little stone cottage offers the perfect romantic break. A wealth of oak beams and original exposed brickwork give it a unique atmosphere, enhanced by the owners' careful choice of furnishings and fittings. The kitchen, complete with beamed ceiling, ceramic sink and granite worktops, combine up to date facilities with old world charm. This leads into the lounge, with stone lintels and leaded window panes and an electric stove to make it cosy all year round. Upstairs you feel like you are stepping back in time and indeed have to 'step through' a door in the brick and beams wall into the main bedroom. This room is full of character too and boasts a Victorian style bed and chandelier light. Church Street, where Pegge's Almshouses are situated, is considered to be the finest street of Georgian buildings in Derbyshire. The cottage is tucked just off this main street, within a few minutes walk of shops, cafes, pubs and leisure facilities (including an indoor swimming pool). Ashbourne is an ideal choice for a short break or longer holiday, combining a wealth of historic buildings and high quality independent shops in a street scene that has changed little in appearance in the last 200 years. The cobbled market place, hidden alleys and yards are a delight to explore, with a superb choice of delicatessens, cafes and galleries. At the end of Church Street the graceful spire of St Oswald's dominates the skyline, worth a visit to see the splendid carved monuments. The Tissington Trail, a former railway line now converted into a traffic free route for walkers, cyclists and horse riders comes right into the town centre near the cottage and offers cycle hire and miles of peaceful cycling amidst superb countryside. Just to the north of Ashbourne is Dovedale, a famed beauty spot where the crystal clear waters of the River Dove are edged by spectacular limestone scenery. To the south is the National Trust's Sudbury Hall and Kedleston Hall, two grand country estates not to be missed.     Welcome to Chapter One - Ashbourne, located a short walk from the heart of Ashbourne town centre. The house has been totally renovated to provide style and comfort. As well as having a wide range of restaurants, shops and pubs, Ashbourne is ideally placed to explore the Peak District.
    The front door opens into the hallway. From there you can access the Living Room and Kitchen. Living Room:a quirky yet cosy room which consists of large electric fireplace, 2 sofas and smart TV. The front window has decorative privacy film so you aren't overlooked from the main road. Kitchen/dining room: The beautiful kitchen has been designed to make the most of the space and is topped with white quartz worktops. The dining table seats six and has a lovely view over the wild meadow. The stairs lead up from the hallway to the first floor landing space. From here you can access the bathroom and the three bedrooms. Bedroom 1: a large room with 2 large windows. An impressive 4 poster superking bed is the centre piece of the room. There is also a wardrobe, set of drawers and dressing table. Bedroom 2: Contains a king size bed, wardrobe and set of drawers. Overlooks the wild meadow at back of house. Bedroom 3: Consists of a small double bed and rack for hanging clothes. Bathroom: Contains shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail
    So much stuff to do in Ashbourne! Lots of boutique shops, amazing dog friendly cafes, and great restaurants.

Or maybe visit Carsington Water, a 15 minute drive away where you will find cycle paths and cycle hire, sailing, canoeing and fishing.     Poppy cottage is a 2 minutes walk from the market Town of Ashbourne Derbyshire. The cottage is ideally located for visiting Alton Towers, Dovedale, Carsington water, Buxton, Bakewell and much more.
    Poppy Cottage is a small, cosy cottage in the heart of Ashbourne Town Derbyshire. 20 minutes from Alton Towers and the stunning surroundings of the Derbyshire Dales. Its A two minute walk in to the town centre with lots of shops, cafes and pubs to explore. Poppy Cottage benefited from a renovation this year 2019 - Its now fully central heated with oak flooring throughout the ground floor. In the front room we have two, two seater red leather sofas and a full smart tv and free wifi. Also there is an open fire place with a superb large log look electric fire. The staircase leading upstairs is all in natural wood. The kitchen consists of a ceramic electric hob and oven, dishwasher, washing machine, undercounter fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and all the pots, pans and cutlery you will need for your stay. In the Dinning room you will find a foldaway dinning table with 4 chairs and 2 armchairs for relaxing, reading a book or playing a few games round the table. The French doors lead out to the rear off the house to a small patio area. There is a secure gate to the side of the house for pushbikes round to the rear of the house for safe keeping. Upstairs the cottage is fully carpeted The main bedroom has a double bed with beautiful solid wood furniture and open wardrobe. Bedroom two has a solid pine bunk bed also with under the bed storage for clothes. The third bedroom has a solid pine single bed, this room is very small so ideal for a child but the bed is a full size single so could fit an adult. The shower room consists of a toilet, wash basin, towel radiator and a shower cubicle with power shower. Parking available outside the front of the property on a one way street.
    Great for a romantic break, or family get away with so much to do. Ashbourne town is only a few minutes walk from the property. The town offers stunning shops, cafes, restaurants and great country pubs with live music and serving great food. The stepping stones at Dovedale is a must see and do, also Tissington village for cream teas. Or just around the corner you can jump onto the Tissington trail for a lovely 13 mile walk or you could hire a bicycle. Theres also Thorpe cloud to visit, Carsington water, Matlock bath Buxton, Bakewell market on a Monday or embrace the excitement of Alton Towers - so much to see and do.

    New for 2019; a fabulous decked area at the front for guest's sole use! Barn@ was built in 1646 or possibly earlier, originally used as the coaching area for the adjacent former inn. We have retained and reused as much of the original features as building regs would allow! The hall is wide and provides ample space for safe storage of bicycles. Stairs lead to a generous beamed bedroom with double bed and dressing area. We do not accept babies or children.
    Hognaston is a very attractive, friendly village with pub and C12th church. You can walk from the doorstep to Carsington Water in 15mins, where you can hire bikes, paddle boards and canoes - or just admire the view with a coffee! We are 3 miles from the market towns of Ashbourne and Wirksworth. Plenty of supermarkets, petrol stations and other facilities.

Die lange Auffahrt, die sich durch die Schafweiden schlängelt, ist reizvoll. Die Stadt Ashbourne liegt gleich die Straße runter und ist voll von fantastischen Geschäften und Cafés.     Our cottage is self contained and attached to our house. There is a sunken hot tub in the garden. Set in a tranquil, traditional Peak District village with local pub, there's a small shop in the pub that's open during pub opening hours. Perfect location for keen walkers, climbers or cyclists and there are several lovely National Trust houses, including Chatsworth, within easy driving distance. Ashbourne is 15 mins away with good quality independent shops, pubs and restaurants.
    The cottage is for your sole use and is very cosy with a wood burning stove, generous wood supply and well equipped kitchen. There is TV, DVD, radio and wifi and there is off street parking for one vehicle. There is a kitchen/sitting room, with a separate double bedroom. There are quite steep stairs down to the beautiful modern bathroom. The bathroom has underfloor heating, a hot towel rail and a shower with a lovely bath for a good soak after an active day. Soap, plenty of towels and a hairdryer is provided. The bed linen is pure white cotton. The bed linen and towels are dried outside in the sun, so they are not 'drier soft and fluffy' but they smell wonderfully fresh! The king size double bed can be separated into two singles. If that is your preference, please let me know when you book.
    The Peak District is a hidden gem for walking, rock climbing, cycling and enjoying historic houses. Parwich is a quiet and very pretty village that has featured in the Sunday Times top 50 rural communities for the last two years. It is a village with little traffic as it is not on the way to anywhere and therefore does not have a busy road going though it. There are traditional amenities such as a beautiful church, a very old Robinson's pub: The Sycamore, (under new management) and a lovely, well run British Legion bar that welcomes outsiders. There is also a tennis court for public use and a monthly film showing in the very fine, modern village Memorial Hall. There is a shop in the pub for basic needs. There is an excellent blog that features the activities in the village: Parwich . org where you can find out what's on during your stay.

Large windows throughout ensure the apartment is bathed in light and the living room overlooks the picturesque Market Place and stunning views of the town and surrounding countryside. The lounge is fully carpeted with sofa, easy chair, smart TV and table and chairs. The kitchen has been fitted out to the highest degree and includes dishwasher and wine cooler. The bedroom consists of a king size bed, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers and hairdryer. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with rainfall shower head, WC and wash hand basin. Heating and air conditioning is provided by units in the lounge and bedroom, and heated towel rail in the bathroom. Free parking, wifi, power, bed linen, towels, iron and ironing board are included.     Mrs Scragg's Cottage, cosily situated in the pretty village of Thorpe, in a beautiful and peaceful part of the Peak District. A walker’s paradise; Dovedale and the Stepping Stones are a 20 mins stroll away; Thorpe Cloud just 10 mins. The Tissington Trail, a converted footpath/cycle way, is a 10 mins walk away. It has a good sized enclosed, private garden with outdoor seating for sunny days. There is spacious off road parking for 2 cars. You may even have some cows in the field next door!
    This is a no pet cottage. This is a strict policy I have to adhere to as my insurance is for a pet free property. Please do not request to bring a dog as I cannot accept these bookings.     Ashbourne, an old market town, is 2.5 miles away and there are many picturesque villages a short walk/drive away to explore. There are lots of places to visit and activities to try with Mrs Scragg's Cottage as your base. The Old Dog pub is at the top of the hill, a great place to sit by their fire, unwind and enjoy one of their fabulous burgers in a friendly village pub. You can purchase fuel at Dovedale Garage, also at the top of the hill, but other than that Ashbourne will be your closest stop to pick up anything that you need.

The location is very quiet, whilst being close to Ashbourne (5 minutes in the car), and really handy for the Southern Peaks. We're dog friendly and have a separate apartment (though we share the kitchen and laundry room). We do not use the sitting area with TV in the large kitchen, so that would be yours to relax in. There are tea and coffee making facilities in Honeysuckle Room.

Wir wurden herzlich von Myszka & Adam und ihren Hunden empfangen. Wenn Sie Hunde lieben, werden Sie die 3 Hunde des Gastgebers lieben, die freundlich und neugierig auf ihre neuen Besucher waren. Wenn Sie kein Hund sind, werden sie ferngehalten und sind im Allgemeinen gut erzogen. Das Honeysuckle Zimmer, das wir bekamen, war geräumig und sauber. Die Frühstückszeit war großartig mit allem, was wir uns wünschen konnten, um den Tag reichlich und gesund zu beginnen. Die Gastgeber waren super freundlich und haben uns sehr willkommen geheißen. Sie hatten auch nützliche Tipps über die lokalen Pubs und die Umgebung. Wir werden diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall an Freunde und Familienmitglieder weiterempfehlen, die diese Gegend besuchen möchten und hoffen, dass wir bald wiederkommen.

    If your looking for location to access popular attractions , local amenities and peacefulness you have found it. We are located 1.5 miles from Ashbourne market town with Bars/Restaurants/ supermarkets/ local crafts & shops. Attractions at Alton towers are 20mins away. Local visitors areas Tissington Village & Hall. Dovedale & Ilam are only 2 miles away. Chatsworth hall is 20mins away and yet we are at the end of a farm drive half a mile long surrounded by fields within the Peak District National Park with a lovely view. Bliss.

Nur einen Steinwurf von der großen Shopping / Essen / Trinken Stadt Ashbourne und nur wenige Minuten von Tissington (und der Spur) und Dovedale. Wir fuhren und ging mit unserem Hund (ja, Hunde hier sehr willkommen sind) und genossen die sehr komfortabel und gut zu Hause bestellt. Ein sehr gutes Preis und Lage und eine einladende Creme Tee aus den Gastgeber. Vielen Dank für diesen Urlaub!

  • Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt hier und nicht zu einem besseren Zeitpunkt hätte fragen können. Andy ging darüber hinaus auch uns aufzunehmen, wie großzügig, dass Sie uns beim Check-in ein paar Stunden zu früh und so konnten wir nach einer Rote-Augen-Flug auszuruhen. Es gab frisch gebackene Leckereien für uns als auch frische Eier von ihrer Farm warten. Es ist ein schönes Haus mit einem atemberaubenden Blick auf die ländliche Landschaft und die Hügel. Die Sonnenuntergänge sind perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt und es gibt immer Tonnen von natürlichem Licht durch die Fenster kommen. Die Küche hat alles, was Sie selbst versorgen müssen. Ein wunderbares Wohnraum mit TV und WiFi. Zwei Bäder - eines mit Dusche und das andere mit einem großen Einweicherwanne. Die Zimmer haben alles, was Sie brauchen, und es gab zusätzliche Matratzen (die wir aber nicht genutzt haben). Es ist ruhig und friedlich. Und es war so viel Spaß, über die alle Schafe zu fahren, wie wir uns auf den Weg gemacht, die lange Spur des Wohnens. Wunderbar, schön, ruhig, komfortabel. Es fühlte sich wie zu Hause weg von zu Hause nach der ersten Nacht. Jedes Mal, wenn ich in diesem Teil der Welt wieder werde ich wieder hier übernachten!

    This delightful cottage is perfect for a couple/individual who wants to get away from it all but not be entirely cut off from civilisation. The Coach House is off the ‘main road’ to Ashbourne, but sits on an extremely quiet road, from which you can walk to a pub, a corner shop or straight into Derbyshire countryside. Although 3 centuries old, recently restored, it has new central heating, new kitchen and luxury bathroom so the history is all there without compromising a comfortable stay.
    The Coach House has an entrance hall (where you can sit and kick off any muddy boots from walking), a kitchen/diner, a cosy sitting room, with gas fire. Upstairs there is a small landing that opens onto the bathroom, the bedroom and a storage room. The Victorian style bathroom is complete with claw-foot bath and shower and heritage heated towel rail. The bedroom has a lovely view over fields, clothes rail, chest of drawers as well as a comfy Warren Evans bed. (Please be aware, the stairs are narrower than conventional stairs, and wouldn't be suitable for my 95 year old Great Aunt).

  • Wir haben diesen Ort absolut geliebt, genau wie beworben, nur viel größer als die Bilder ausmachen. Die Gastgeber waren brillant im Kontakt und gaben uns Informationen, auch voller Respekt, dass wir - als Paar hart arbeitender Introvertierter - einen Urlaub in völliger Isolation verbringen wollten :) Das Haus selbst war wunderschön, die Gegend war wunderschön und ruhig. Ich bin in Ashbourne aufgewachsen und kannte schon alle unglaublichen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Ich kann dieses Cottage nur wärmstens empfehlen.   • Das Haus ist wirklich sehr schön, es ist makellos sauber und hat alles, was Sie brauchen. Wir fanden es sehr ruhig und entspannend. Trotzdem so praktisch für überall. Es gibt ein Pub / Restaurant nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt und das Essen ist sehr gut. Würde es auf jeden Fall jedem empfehlen.

    Beautifully appointed and spacious top floor apartment in a fully restored early 19th century country house. The space is comprised of one master en-suite bedroom, one double bedroom (no en-suite) and one twin bedroom with en-suite. Separate shower room, large kitchen diner and large living room. One mile north of Ashbourne town centre. Surrounded in green open pasture with valley views. Tissington cycle/walking trail can be seen from the property and accessed with a 5 minute walk.
    The available rooms are accessed through the main house via the back door. Please ring the bell upon arrival, someone will be here to greet you and show you where to go. As the space is on the top floor only please refrain from wandering around as this is a private residence. We do require that guests leave shoes by the back door or at the top of the first set of stone stairs, Just to help us keep the house clean.
    Ashbourne is a lovely quaint town with nice shops and amenities, the surrounding countryside is rolling green hills and valleys. There are many good walks and sights to see, and we have a lot of country pubs offering locally brewed beers and great food. We are in a fantastic location in the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District. The sun will rise through the kitchen and dining room windows and set on the master bedroom and en-suite. Two beautiful parts of the day in the flat when the sun shines.

    Fagin is our loveable little rogue shepherd's hut filled with old school charm. Situated only 10 minutes from Alton Towers and Dovedale, it's perfect for quick getaways and stopovers. Wonderful for bird watching in the mornings as you brew up. Fagin is situated in its own corner of our camp field. **Please note, this hut is off-grid. If you need to charge your phone, I can happily show you to a charging point.
    Only 10 minutes from Alton Towers and Manifold Trail and 15 minutes to Dovedale. Perfect for exploring a The Peak District trails and National Trust properties. Our favourite historic pub The Yew Tree Inn at Cauldon is only a short 7 minute drive.

  • The Swallows ist ein Geheimtipp in wunderschöner Umgebung und dennoch nahe bei Ashbourne (das sich wunderbar mit unabhängigen Geschäften und großartigen Restaurants schlängeln lässt) und anderen Attraktionen. Die Swallows selbst war warm und einladend und sehr entspannend. Die Küche und die Lounge-Bereiche bieten alles, was Sie brauchen könnten. Das Schlafen war ein Genuss in den super bequemen Betten. Ich würde gerne im Sommer für ein Bad im Pool zurückkehren und auf der Terrasse sitzen.

We have a Swedish hot-tub and barrel sauna in the farmhouse gardens which can be booked and hired by guests for a unique elemental experience. *IF YOU INTEND TO HIRE THE HOT TUB OR SAUNA, PLEASE MAKE SURE IT IS AVAILABLE WHEN YOU BOOK* (extra cost - for price see 'other things to note' section) Once a stallion pen, Beechenhill Cottage now has a mural ceiling with vines and doves, a canopied bed and a real fire for cosy evenings. Oversleep in the delightful bedroom with its old polished pine and king-sized canopied bed. Bed linen is beautifully laundered pure cotton. There is a well equipped kitchen with an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. You can snuggle up to the coal-burning stove in winter and watch the TV with integrated DVD player. There is also a radio with an iPod docking station along with books and maps from which to choose the best walk. We have a large biomass boiler which provides plenty of hot-water and keeps the central heating going whenever you need it so you will be cosy and warm all year round. Walk straight from the door over beautiful Bunster hill to Dovedale and its famous stepping stones, or along the ridge of the Manifold Valley, or beyond, there are so many walks to choose from.
    Swallows skimming about, the scent of homemade organic bread and a selection of local and homemade goodies are the things that may greet you when you arrive at our organic dairy farm in the Peak District National Park. Our home is a long traditional farmhouse on an organic farm in the beautiful Peak District National Park. Built from local limestone the farmhouse has been added to over the centuries since the 1500's. We run our business in the most environmentally friendly way we can without compromising on comfort for our guests. In 2018 we won gold for Sustainability in the Enjoy Staffs Tourism Awards! We have a Swedish hot-tub and barrel sauna in the farmhouse gardens which can be booked and hired by guests for a unique elemental experience (Please reserve this when you book your accommodation as it is very popular - extra cost).
    The farm is set in the most stunning scenery and looks over the valleys of the Peak District. The cottage is on the farm site with two other self catering cottages on site, but is very secluded and not overlooked. Quiet, with no neighbours, the only passers by might be cows, hens, or two naughty goats! The village of Ilam is picturesque with beautiful chocolate box Swiss style houses and past the Anglo Saxon church there is Ilam Park, a National Trust property with a lovely tearoom. Our nearest towns are Ashbourne and Leek, both market towns with quirky shops and boutiques alongside the usual shops and supermarkets. There is a host of interesting villages such as Tissington with the best traditional sweet shop ever or Hartington with a delicious farm shop cafe and legendary cheese shop. Further afield there is Bakewell, Buxton, Tideswell and Eyam. We are spoiled for choice with interesting places to visit: Chatsworth; Haddon Hall; Sudbury Hall; Go Ape; Alton Towers; Peak Wildlife Park; Coombs Valley Nature Reserve; Crich Tramway Museum or The Heights of Abraham are just a few. We are really lucky that we have some brilliant pubs and restaurants in the area for a great selection of real ale or really delicious food.

A popular nearby place to visit is Dovedale where you can follow the River Dove through the valley and then cross the river over the famous stepping stones.
