Museum
“KAPRALOS MUSEUM - This museum is located on the northwest coast of Aegina, along the main coast road. It consists of six chambers - the sculptor's Kapralos workshops - while the landscaping surrounding them was designed by the sculptor. He left a collection of approximately 7,500 works to the Greek people on establishing his foundation. The visitor to the Kapralos Museum of Aegina may view works spanning the years 1963-93. His copper statue, The Mother, placed on a square opposite the museum by the sea, symbolizes the Greek mother, a woman who toils in devotion to her family.”

Historische Stätte
“The most important archaeological site on the island of Aegina, and in fact one of the most important in all of Greece, is the Temple of Aphaea which sits on top of a mountain above the resort town of Agia Marina, with a view of the Aegean Sea and all of Athens and Attika. Very well preserved, easy to walk around quite closely.”

Kirche
“A massive, recently-built church sits up on a hill in the inland area known as Kontos on Aegina island, just a few miles from the port. Built for the most recent Greek Orthodox saint - Agios Nektarios - it is visited by large numbers of people every year, many of them seeking help from this miracle-working saint, who died in 1920. Near the church is a complex of buildings which include chapels, a store selling icons, holy oil, candles, postcards and the like, the old house in which the holy man lived, and the monastery inhabited by a small community of nuns who tend to the spiritual needs of those who come to seek solace and healing. “The location of the ancient city of Aegina. Old chapels and the remains of a Byzantine city. The Aeginetans settled there to flee from the Saracen pirates from 896 to 1800 AD when they returned to the harbour.”
