Best things to do in Anchorage

“Eat a full meal while watching a movie. They are owned by Moose's Tooth and server the same pizza and other things. I suggest spending the extra few bucks and get a booth. There is also just the restaurant side that is known for its brunch. ”

“Locally owned, amazing pizza, salads and weekly specials. The company brews their own beer. The wait can be long so go early for lunch (11:30) or early for dinner (5:30) or get your food and beer to go.”

Restaurant mit Cajun- / kreolischer Küche
“If you want the best Cajun food and willing to drive to Girdwood, this is definitely worth it. If you are skiing at Alyeska, stop here for dinner. You will wait around 45 minutes if you do not get there early. I recommend getting there 30 minutes before opening. If you get there late, the secret is to get on the list, ask how long, subtract 20 minutes from that, and come then; go to do something else. If its just 2 maybe 4 people, you can always eat in the bar. One trick is get on the list, then start in the bar. They are known for their steak as well.”

“Located downtown (about 7 to 10 mins from here), they have a most excellent breakfast menu. My favorite item is actually the "Drive Thru Sandwich." It's a biscuit, bacon, strawberry jam, cheddar, and egg concoction that I often just grab to go. It's $5 for one (or what they don't advertise) two for $9.”

“BEST SCONES EVER! CLOSED MONDAY and TUESDAY Loely local shop run by comunity minded retired educators who are doing so much good I just love this place. They are growing things to use in their food as well as buying directly from customers things like Alaskan apples, rhubarb and more. The Airport Heights location (16th) has a rocking famers market in the summer with live music- Wednesdays June-August.”
