Farstad, Møre og Romsdal, Norwegen

The Atlantic Road is called Coast Troll Ladder (on RV64), as it winds by bridges from island to island, and the islands and countries. In fine sunshine and good weather it's great to experience the ocean out here, but it's an even more special experience to be out there in the storm and gale, feel the spray on your face and the wind rushing through your body. One bridge is adapted for angling with flanker outside the roadway. Here it is always full of fishermen hauling in fish. On one of the islands have been built a wheelchair friendly hanging way aluminum, a great walking experience for all!

Ball and opera town Kristiansund.
The world's oldest transportation company Sund boats, established in 1876, takes you around with passenger boat in 20 minutes on four different islands / countries / districts Kristiansund comprises, Inland, Kirkelandet, Northland and Gomalandet. Today they are reached also by car. Kristiansund is also called Ball Sund because the dish blended ball. Known for clipfish production as the city is built on, with clipfish museum, clipfish opera, clipfish festival and clipfish restaurants. The urban environment is characterized by fish nostalgia, listed post-war architecture, of being an oil and gas community and the sea that comes straight in. Annual arranged operauke in Kristiansund.

Exciting, vibrant fishing villages
Here in More og Romsdal, humankind since time immemorial lived by fishing. Some of these old fishing villages are well preserved and can today offer teeming with life, museums and cozy eateries. Here, a dream return to the past and almost smell the salt fish and hear all ships reunions fjord. Ona (reached by car ferry from Småge or Finnøy) Bjørnsund (passenger boats Harøy Sund), Bud (46 km outside Molde), Grip (passenger boat from the center of Kristiansund) and Veidholmen (the largest fishing villages south of Lofoten, with 250 inhabitants) at the tip of Smøla five such lively fishing villages.

Mardalsfossen and Aursjøveien
By Eikesdalsvatnet is highest in Northern Europe and the world's 4th tallest free fall waterfall at 297 m, while the whole waterfall is 655 m. Impressive view of the water flow season, from 20.6 to 20.8. each year. From Finnset in Eikesdal, within Eikesdalsvatnet, there is a narrow winding road up the hillside and towards the dam at Aursjøen (862 m.o.h) and further down Litledalen Sunndalsora. Beautiful scenery, lots of trout water and a good base for trips into the mountains. Toll road, open mid-June. As experience on par with Geiranger and Trollstigen, but the road is somewhat steep and narrow.

Molde - Molde Panorama
Take a trip to Molde - jazz and roses, and we continue to Varden viewpoint (407 m.o.h) where you can watch the town of Molde, the fjord and islands and the Molde panorama with its 222 partially snow-clad peaks.

Romsdalen and Trollveggen
Romsdalen (the last 30 km along the E136 before Åndalsnes) is long and narrow with majestic towering mountains on either side. Trollveggen is Europe's tallest vertical, overhanging rock face at 1000 m. It was in the Romsdal Alps rock climbing started in Scandinavia.

Trollstigen and Stigfossen
In the steep hillsides, a detour from Åndalsnes (on RV63), the road Trollstigen 11 swings upward to Stigrøra (858 m.o.h). In some places the road is carved into the rock, it is built on top of stone walls. The road crosses the waterfall Stigfossen with an impressive natural stone. Trollstigen is one of Norway's most visited tourist attractions. Usually open from May / June.

Geiranger and Geirangerfjorden
On UNESCO's list of natural / cultural treasures is the world famous Geiranger fjord, called the world's most beautiful fjord. Down Ornes wings (on RV63) with the 11 sharp bends towards Geiranger, you lose almost breath of the beautiful views and scenery that greets you. Take the ferry from beautiful Geiranger to Hellesylt, ca. 70 min. Experience small abandoned crofts hanging over the cliffs along the bay and magnificent waterfalls.

Ålesund. The and bird colony on Round
The view over Alesund from Mount Aksla is world famous and Perched on the UNESCO list of world's most beautiful cities. From Aksla has a spectacular view of the city, Brosundet, the snowy Sunnmørsalpene and all the surrounding islands. A few kilometers from Ålesund Atlanterhavsparken, one of Northern Europe's largest saltwater aquariums with daily dive show. Norway's southernmost nesting on the island of Runde offers a vibrant life of birds during the breeding season, is 38 km outside the coastal town of Fosnavåg (Rv654).
